Out of curiousity,I was wondering,how long have you had temps working?

This is true.I am ILO from this plant and attended a meeting last weekand was told that we are to build the Explorer until Nov. of next year.There is speculation that we may shut down sooner to re-tool for the Kouga.Maybe around mid summer.Chicago assembly will produce a Unibody Explorer that is scheduled to be built around early summer.

Just wondering what the word was down there.As I understand it,L.A.P. is supposed to get the Escape and Mariner and start producing it in spring of 2011.Also,the people who produce this product will have the right to transfer with their unit to L.A.P. if they want.I wish you guys luck on your strike and appreciate your efforts for the workers rights.

I am on ILO from L.A.P.,there is no buyouts being offered to us.I have been off since July 2nd and the only buyout they offered was to buyout of tap at around $10,000.00 with no recall rights.I will be going into TAP on Dec. 5th.(first group) but will have recall rights for the length of seniority.Even if I turn down a job opportunity,still have recall rights,but lose all other benefits.

I would like to know aprox. how many temps you have laid off?
