Relatively high horsepower doesn't inherently make an unsafe situation. And it would again mean an advantage to competitors to de-tune the new engine. Would more power encourage recklessness? It's like a gun; a machine that's generally no more responsible than the actions of the operator/custodian.

Nice chop! With a few refinements, I wonder if this would be essentially what some here have speculated about a new Thunderbird or Cougar. I would like to see this with a hardtop and suicide doors, even though it'd never be produced in that way.

I guess 2-speed differentials lost justification when overdrives were offered. Don't know about a Cougar from the factory with one, but I recall an article in Hemmings Muscle Car about a man that owned a Torino King Cobra and a Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II. These cars were modded at Holman-Moody to compete with Charger Daytonas and the Torino had an experimental 2-speed. Probably a better option is two overdrive transmission gears; maybe split the usual 70%.

I would like to know, also. BTW, other than color, that is about how I'd spec one.

Hey, all. Lurked here for months; nice site. Thanks for all the info y'all post here. I have a couple of questions; don't know if it's too early in the game to answer. I seem to recall a magazine article? post from here? mentioned there would be an equivalent Track Pack for the V6 model. The PDF doesn't seem to indicate one. So, does anyone know if there will be a V6 Track Pack, and what the contents might include? And would there be a Brembo upgrade-or possibly included in the possible package? Thanks in advance!
