  1. AAI is going to be ach! come on, lets stop the stupidity already. That's not gonna happen, that plant will once again be a 2 shift operation someday. no wonder why i very seldom get on this site!! the rumors on here sound worse than the bullshit that comes from a union rep- and thats bad!
  2. Im at AAI, and we do 55 jph and they already announced in our town hall meeting that they are boosting line speed up to 68jph, we used to run 70 jph, that plant has been down to one shift before, and that was in 2000 it lasted 4yrs, and came back, I believe it will come back again, they claim they have new product in mind for that plant, its a great plant to be at and when u can go from fwd, rwd to awd with little tweeking its worth holding on for! and 900 some workers wont just be able to go to map, there are so many rtbu's from dearborn, saline, aai, and who knows where else, 1 at sterling to, so it's going to be a rough rd soon but, im trying to think positive that its true and we are all going to be placed, 400 visteon at saline and 200 at sheldon will be out and ford workers will be in, thats positive to.
  3. shit does happen, so there will be a 50 grand buyout, take it or dont, but the shits out of your hands, so relax, everyone is up in the air in the auto industry, i dont care what plant your at.
  4. I figured the hundred grand was out, but i do know that my 39 wks isnt my buyout, they are most likely offering 50 grand again, i know u were being smart by just saying that, but i was simply asking a question, dont be so mad your being laid off, shit happens man..relax!! its out of your control
  5. u can bump ppl out of their plants once your sub/tap is exhausted, ford cant continue to pay sub/tap and have ford employees out on the street then turn around and hire 14 an hr ppl. you have to make sure all ford employees r placed or have taken buyouts first before the 2 tier starts
  6. and not only that, aai announces that map will need 550 ppl
  7. AAI ran ! shift for 4yrs and didnt lose money, so 3 shift operation, not true to be viable, in these times, whose not in trouble! AAI will come back again
  8. Does anyone have any idea what the amount of the buyouts will be this time around, seeing that aai is eliminating a shift, and the paper said anyone who dont get placed will have an option to take a buyout???? with my low seniority I'm hoping for another 100 grand to be offered, if anyone has heard, please post. thanks
  9. Yeah they did announce it monday roughly 9 to 950 cut, really sucks, I recently heard that they aren't touvhing the saline people, what did you hear. And have you heard of any openeings besides mi truck? I hear mi truck wont be up and running til around first of dec.
