Saw one C-Max back in 2013 on a local Ford Dealers lot here in South Florida an was flabbergasted to see it was ordered with the Cold Weather Package! Heated Seats, Heated Exterior Mirrors, etc. On further analysis of the MSRP Sticker it was explained. It was a Dealer Swap from a upstate New York Ford Dealer to Delray Beach, FL. Almost 2000 mile Swap? Must have been a Retiree with plenty of time on his hands that made the drive South and then again back North.

Plan on purchasing a 2018 EcoSport in "S" Model Trim, Diamond White with Stone Interior an FWD. With the ordering process an 3 to 4 month delivery time from Ordering an Build Date adding 60 days at Sea an adding unknown time once it reaches the US, I`ll just get one from Dealer Stock or attempt to have Dealer (Swap) for the Vehicle of my choice while the Ship is in transit with another Dealership. Way too complicated special ordering process considering the Vehicle is being built an shipped from the other side of the Globe!

Can anybody confirm if there will be one or two White Paint choices for the 2018 Ford EcoSport? The Premium White is listed but what about the standard regular Diamond White Color Code ZA? Odd that a non premium White Paint won`t be available? Oxford White please take your deserved retirement!

Is there a Diamond White (ZA) offering replacing Oxford White. Thumbnails shows only 8 Colors an the only White being the Premium Metallic Tri-Coat?

According to the "Thumbprint" 2018 EcoSport Paint Colors, there is only (8) choices for US, one being the Ceramic-White Metallic Tri-Coat at an extra upgrade. No mention of Diamond White or Paint Code ZA?

True, its a boring "Race Red" Orange Tinted Red Paint. Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, an even Honda have a real "Pure" Lipstick Red Paint, ae: Honda`s Milano Red. Ford should retire Race Red along with its 4 decade old Utility Truck Paint Color "Oxford White". Looks like the Eco-Sport for 18` will only offer the Tri-Coat Metallic White with no Diamond White offerings like in other Markets?

I had this much maligned Automatic Transmission in my early production 2011` Fiesta Hatchback. Never a problem or issue. Once or twice a month depending on the speed an rpm`s a slight shudder in switching gears (but) got 33-35 MPG City and 41-43 MPG Highway from Day 1 until I traded it for 13` C-Max Hybrid. Knew about the Computer Patch Fix but opted (not) to have it installed. Why mess around with that excellent Fuel Economy when once installed, there was no going back to Original Settings!

If Dealers can now place Orders for 2018 EcoSport you would think that Dealerships would have info on Paint Color Options an color samples for US Market?

Ice: Thanks, Guess Florida EcoSport`s will be unloaded at Port Canaveral, near Melbourne. Looked at the Shipping Lanes for Car Carrier Ships and most show passage either through Suez canal or around Cape Hope in South Africa with Atlantic Ocean passage. Guess Ford anticipates going Eastward via the Pacific Ocean. Western route is around 9800 through Suez Canal and 11,500 going around Cape Horn, not a hell of a lot of difference after you consider the costs of passage through the Canal. Perhaps risk factors going through the Arabian Seas might have tilted the decision to go Via the Pasific?

ice-capades: Map shows "East" Distribution from New England south to Virginia? North Carolina south to Florida is considered "West" Distribution? I would assume that other then "East" all Vehicles will be unloaded at Long Beach, CA Port an put on Rail until Final drop off Hub?

ICE; I understand that Dealer ordered Vehicles for "Stock" are the first in line for production scheduling so hopefully any "kinks" are spotted an corrected before Retail-Special Order Cars are built. My Retail Special Order 15` Mustang Convertible that was ordered in early Sept 14` didn't` arrive until Jan 10, 15`. That said, I`d like to put my Build Order in ASAP to secure a high priority position so that it will be in line for an earlier Build & Ship date.

Just curious when Dealers will be able to place a Retail Order on a 2018 EcoSport? Three Dealerships I have inquired about ordering this vehicle an all 3 are not even aware of the EcoSport Order Guide that was released on June 12? Maybe sometime in Mid-July?

Diamond White is listed as a (metallic) while Oxford White is the same boring paint that Mark Twain used to white wash the picket fence.

Just curious, has anyone actually seen what "Diamond White" actually looks like on a Color Chip sample or on a Vehicle. It appears only the 2018 Ford Eco-Sport get this particular color White? It is indicated as being a Metallic on the Order Guide. Hopefully, it will be a bit more luxurious an appealing then Ford`s 3 decade old Oxford White, on Utility Trucks across the world.

Guess if you Order the 2018 Ford EcoSport in its Base S Trim, it solves my issue. No Power Moonroof, No Fog Lights, and no Push Button Ignition. I`m happy with the conventional Keyed Ignition with the Flip-Key Remote Control FOB. True, I won`t be able to select the Cold Weather Equipment Package but in South FL doubt that I would need that. Both the S and SE both come with the same 16` Alloy Wheels an Tires but on the SE you can upgrade to the 17`. Still irks me that Ford insists on stimatizing S Trim buyers by giving them Black Painted exterior door handles. Big cost saving to spray them with the same exterior paint?

Until you accidentally have a Car Wash Attendant or yourself place the Push Button Start Key FOB Remote in the wrong spot and get locked out of your Vehicle!

akirby; True, but that is if you desire to purchase an add-on accessory after purchase. I personally see (nothing) attractive about having a stick-on Bar with multiple (telephone) key push button numbers attached to the bottom of the door handle, just saying.....

Have the Push Button Keyless Ignition in my 2015 Mustang Convertible and would much rather have a (conventional) keyed ignition and door lock. Opening up the Keyless Remote FOB to utilize the backup key inside due to a malfunction? How many times has your conventional "Key" malfunctioned in your ignition switch or door handle unless frozen with ice or snow?

akirby; My old contrarian from GA. Nice to see we still disagree on DRL`s, Global Automatic Window Openings, and Push Button Ignition versus a regular key with a remote FOB. I happen to bring Limo`s and Coaches to Car Washes (everyday). Despite what the Owner`s manual says, what the Car wash Employee`s say, or what the Vehicle`s Driver might think, I see Cars LOCKED OUT at the end of the Wash Track that must be pushed off to the side in Neutral an await a Locksmith to get the door open while the engine remains running. Impossible? Can`t happen if FOB is left in Cup-Holder an Engine is left running? Not so. Sorry, I prefer a Keyed Ignition, with a keyed Door Lock coupled with a Remote Key FOB, period!

Just curious when actual Color Samples will be available. Leaning towards Diamond White with Stone Interior assuming it looks better then the 3 decade old Utility Oxford White! What Paint Color has lasted as long as Oxford White, seriously? Must have been the second Color choice that Henry Ford introduced after "Black".

I have had several Vehicles with the "Flip Key" Remote Key FOB. It has nothing whatsoever in common with the Keyless Remote FOB on my 2015 Mustang Convertible with Push Button Ignition. One has a key slot on the Steering Column an the other a Push Button on the Dash. I personally prefer Old School Keys versus Remote Key FOB with Push Button Ignition. That alone will steer me to a "S" Series EcoSport plus the fact I don`t need or want a Moonroof. Guess I will have to live with "The Mark of Cain" with those ugly Black Exterior Door Handles. Ford saves what, $5.00 in Paint? Will definitely miss the Fog Lights which are activated once every year or two. Placing my Order within the next few days using my X-Plan PIN #. Will immediately seek a spare (Donut) with the same bolt pattern to replace the Toy Air Inflator and Can of Tire Sealant Goo which works wonders with a Sidewall failure.

Sorry, must disagree! Push Button with (Keyless) Remote Fob is quite different from having a "Keyed Ignition Switch" with a Flip-Key Remote Control. One automatically unlocks Vehicle`s Door when proximity sensor in Key Fob gets close to the door an you start and stop Engine with Push Button on Dash. Conventional Keyed Remote Fobs can lock and unlock doors but requires key to start and stop engine as well as allowing (Manual) Door unlocking if Battery in Key Fob becomes non-functional. Thanks for the update on Ford`s branding of entry level Vehicles with the Mark of Black Exterior Door Handles on the Vehicles you listed. A 11K Hyundai Accent or Kia Rio have their respective exterior door handles painted the same as the rest of Vehicle. Guess one has to order Vehicle in Black with S Trim to have them match?

I know the new 2018 Ford EcoSport S (is) the Base Model but "Black" painted exterior door handles regardless of exterior paint, seriously? Other then the old discontinued Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, when has Ford (not) matched the exterior door handles to the Vehicle exterior paint? Is there that much cost savings or just their version of making it perfectly clear that you ordered the Base (S) Model? Some of us still prefer "Keyed Ignition" over the Push-Button Key Fob!
