  1. The OP liked both cars but wanted a Mustang more, that's why he ordered the day the banks opened on Jan18. I'd say he had a remarkable amount of patience but it ran out.
  2. I actually wanted it the day I ordered it on 2/2/10 but was willing to wait for its original eta of 4/28. Then, when it got bumped to 5/3/10,followed by 5/6/10, I still waited. When my dealer got 8 stock orders delivered(most built after my car), I still waited. And, actually I'm still waiting but my car did get shipped as of Sunday. So, I guess with your logic I should just be happy Ford DECIDED to sell me a car.
  3. What you guys attacking Kahdir seem not to get, is that he planned to buy a Mustang. He ordered a Mustang on the 1st day he possibly could and waited, then waited, so no need mocking him as if he were a troll. Ford's losing a customer, not because any car was better than the Mustang but because Ford made a decesion to stock their dealers before retail orders. I'm aware of the hold but no one will ever be able to convince me Ford stopped at nothing to fix and ship retail orders as quickly as stock. Kahdir's car was built almost a month after mine but he ordered two weeks ahead of me, his former car shipped today, mine didn't. And, this isn't some isolated story, check the other fanboy sites, don't blame Kahdir, blame Ford.
  4. Thanks, ViperPilot That sounds like good news.
  5. First, let me start by writing that I am a diehard fan of the "Great American Car Company", I own stock and have a purchased three Mustangs and one Focus Zx3 in the past nine years. My lastest purchase, a 2011 Gt/Cs was ordered on Feb2, built April14 and has been collecting dust on the lots of Ramp51 AA1 and Ramp 5P ever since. As of Monday it was "sent offsite" which is very creepy sounding might I add. I've read the rumors of QC holds and etc and have faith in the measures that the FMC has taken to ensure our cars are delivered in perfect condition. But, my biggest gripe is that those of us who pre-ordered before the press embargo was lifted and actual production began, seem to be getting shafted in favor of dealer stock orders. I'm a member of several fansites and I am not alone in this feeling. My Dealer alone has several cars built after mine that are already on the lot, I completely understand that not all cars have been affected by the holds but I can't help the sinking feeling that a low priority was placed on getting retail orders fixed and shipped. My orginal ETA was April 28, then May3rd, then May6 and after weeks of showing an expired ETA, now tracking shows I have no ETA at all. Yesterday, my loan expired, so I had to decide whether to settle for something off the lot or contract myself into my order which I have no idea when or if it will arrive, since I didn't want to apply for another loan. I decided to wait for my Gt/Cs but I'd really be disgusted if I had to begin making payments on a car i'm not driving yet. I feel "word of mouth" is just as vital to selling your products as positive press reviews and advertising, to my neighbors, co-workers, family and friends I'm known as an enthusiast and share my advice on all things auto related. I believe in your products and regularly advise people to throw their misconceptions about Ford out the door, it pains me to endure daily inquiries regarding the status of my car to which I have no answer. Nearly, everyday someone tells me about a 2011 Mustang they've encountered, then comes the question, "didn't you preorder yours", "how come it's not here already?" I guess this is what happens when you build a car as special as our Mustang, I'm not threatening to cancel my order and buy a Camaro but some clarification on the whereabouts of our cars would be helpful. My Vin is 1zvbp8cf9b5108798.
