  1. I can only speak from my experience but my Primary Status on my '11 was "In Production" from Nov 30 - Dec 8. Secondary status was "Sent to plant" on Nov 30 and then went to "Produced" on Dec 8. Later that day on Dec 8, it went to "Awaiting Shipment" (primary) to Released (secondary) . Hope that helps.
  2. Getting a little better than that with my F-350 CC LB, 6.2 w/ 4.30 gears on the highway (around 14). Around town I'm hard on the pedal, getting about 10.5 worst case scenario.
  3. Details of my order below (ordered on 10/12, picked up on 12/22): Unscheduled- Clean Oct-12-2010 VIN Received Oct-18-2010 Sent to Plant Nov-30-2010 Produced Dec-08-2010 Released Dec-08-2010 Origin Received - (Jack Cooper Transport Co Inc) Dec-08-2010, 13:51 ET Shipped Convoy - Convoy (Cassens Transport Co) Dec-22-2010, 05:04 ET
  4. Your dealer should be able to look up all the info (included an ETA). If not, call Ford's customer service and give 'em your VIN to track it.
  5. From the manual (pg6): BREAKING-IN YOUR VEHICLE Your vehicle does not need an extensive break-in. Try not to drive continuously at the same speed for the first 1,000 miles (1,600 km) of new vehicle operation. Vary your speed frequently in order to give the moving parts a chance to break in. Drive your new vehicle at least 1,000 miles (1,600 km) before towing a trailer. For more detailed information about towing a trailer, refer to Trailer towing in the Tires, Wheels and Loading chapter.
  6. The term you're looking for is allocation. Lots of info out there about how it works: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/39968-ford-dealer-allocations/ http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/51-poll-sold-order-priority-allocation-problems/
  7. You have a few options now that you have a VIN: Ford customer service - 800-392-3673 Get 10 posts here and you can track the vehicle in the appropriate forum Sign up over at thedieselstop.com, there's a Ford CS rep there that can probably help you out as well.
  8. 6.2 w/ 4.30's (CC/LB). Avg'ing about 9.5mpg right now (winter blend BLOWS!). Truck only has 1000 miles on it so no towing mileage yet.
  9. You'll have to forgive my lack of knowledge in this department as I'm new to 5th wheels (but not trailers). I got the 5th wheel prep package on my '11 F-350 (along with the hitch) and it came with a Reese 25k 5er hitch but nothing for a gooseneck setup. I do have a 3-4" hole (that's capped) in the center of the bed for a gooseneck setup though.
  10. I haven't seen that combo in anything other than a KR either. FYI - Received the truck on 12/22. Unbelievable truck (F-350 lariat, CC, LB, 6.2/4.30's) thanks again to those involved in making these beasts!
  11. Here's the operating instructions for the Reese Elite 18k/25k hitch, might get you closer to what you're looking for: http://www.draw-tite.net/pdf/n30143.pdf EDIT- just noticed you probably saw Smokey's post over on TDS regarding this...
  12. Good info to know. I just received my VIN today and noticed on some documentation the dealer provided that it's reflecting Priority Code 01. I waited 5 weeks for a VIN so it's good to see it got bumped up (order was submitted as a 10).
  13. Sounds like you did your homework on the pin weight! I don't have a 5er yet but ordered the 1 ton to make sure I wasn't held back by the GVWR.
  14. To avoid commercial registration in some states (more $$$).
  15. Replying to my own question. I got confirmation that there was a code change and 6 is the correct one for the 40/20/40 config. I'm anxious already. I ordered a 2000 F250 V10 back in late '99 and just sold that truck about a month or so ago. Was sad to see it go as it served me well for so many years but with 4 kids, I needed more space (ordered a CC).
