  1. I was just informed that the Local 892 President Malana Hubbard and Financial Secretary Royale Thompson ( which are sisters!) are trying to get some by-laws passed at the next union meeting that will help them out financially! Sec Royale Thompson is a Ford retiree so she is not only making $22hr for being secretary but she is also getting a monthly pension!, she is hoping to get a bylaw passed to give her a $7 raise which will put her at $29 hr while we are having new members hire in at $11hr minus $2 hr to Belkan Temporary Services which gives them a grand total of $9hr!!! As if this isn't bad enough they are also trying to change a current bylaw that states there must be a minimum of 901 members for their positions to be full time, they want this number reduced to 201 members, so in short, the Saline plant could ship out most of the jobs in the plant and these two sisters will continue to have full time good paying jobs! I urge you as the membership to go to the union meeting on Saturday August 25th at 10am and vote "NO" on these bylaw changes and let those two know it is their jobs to take care of the membership as a whole and not just themselves!
  2. You're not understanding the issue, there are hundreds of ACH employees with more seniority than her here at Saline that should be getting the opportunity before she did, without respect for our seniority rights what else do we have?
  3. I figured Tom's cheerleader ( Wildo ) would be posting on this one, you act as if you've got the facts, you may want to check get time sheet committee boy!, she has been AWOL all this week, hmmm!, maybe uncle Tom is lying to you too!
  4. We had meetings with the union on Monday and they told us that we would all have a chance to go to a Ford plant as entry level employees, we were told that the openings would be coming and we could stay at Saline loaned to Faurecia for up to one year waiting for an opening. Well to no surprise our Chairman Tom Kanitz has already gotten his daughter Krystal into MAP,she started Monday while we were being told we'd have to wait! We have aslo been told that his son Brian who hired into Saline last spring but spent the summer in jail is now driving truck at Rawsonville.
  5. I would think that you cared if you were a true unionist!...nepotism and favoritism are two of the biggest issues that were addressed when establishing the union!...we were tired of the company slugs doing it so why is it okay for our union leaders to do it?!'
  6. Evidently according to your post I was right, it's got nothing to do with being a "Kanitz hater" it has alot to do with doing the right thing. We have Saline ACH members with almost five years seniority and they have never been given the opportunity to becaome a Ford employee but this guy only worked there less than two months and he was given the opportunity just because of his connection to Tom Kanitz. You can go off and point fingers at the so called Kanitz haters but people like you that have blinders on to what isreally going on are far worse!, I'm sure there will be more of your support group chiming in but the fact still remains that this is bullshit and not the way a union leader should be doing business!
  7. I was talking to a couple of the Rawsonville truck drivers that come to the Saline plant today, they said that they have one of our ACH people working there as a truck driver. They said that he tiold them he hired into Saline this past May and was moved to Rawsonville over the July shutdown period. They also said that he is dating Tom Kanitz's daughter, said he was bragging about how nice it is to have connections!. He also told them that Tom's son which recently hired into Saline was supposed to go to Rawsonville as well to be a driver but couldn't go now since he lost his license due to a drunk driving accident he had in the last year. They said this guy's last name is Reed, if this is true then this is a slap in the face for the rest of the Saline ACH people and for any Rawsonville members that could have gone on as drivers!. Just another Kanitz/Goddard way of sticking it to the membership!
  8. I think that since they've made this new ruling about "Loaned Members" only being able to vote and or run at our home plants that we should all be contacting Mark Caruso and telling him we want our dues to go back to our home plants also!. You think we have had poor representation this far, just hold on, now that they know we can't vote for them or run against them it's only going to get worse!. I saw one of Joel Goddard's campaign fliers his girl Missy was handing out, he mentions how important it is to have him as the lead negotiator this contarct and that's why he needs your support, mentions that the company would love not to have to deal with him, that's not true, the company loves to deal with Joel, he was the lead negotiator on both of the last rounds of Concessions!, thanks Joel, great job!. He also mentions that his favorite view at Rawsonville is seeing the Ford oval when he comes over the South bridge. He should be able to see signs all around that plant since there aren't any cars in the parking lot to block his view! We as members of the greatest union around are being conned by our own leadership! These guys are in it for themselves, we need to take a stand and let them know that yes they can do their dirty games behind doors and change the rules to serve themselves but we have the ultimate say with our vote!
  9. We are hearing the same here at Saline, it was announced at our Local Union meeting Saturday, from the rumble on the floor it sounds like Joel Goddard is in trouble so agreements ( none in writing so far) have been made to get him re-elected, it was said that anyone on loan here can run and vote in their Local elections at their home plant. Unfortunately it's too late for anyone to sign up to run at Rawsonville, seems that they moved their election which was regularly scheduled for this May to next Wednesday March 9th, hmmm! another plus for old Joel perhaps!. Our Local commitee ( Tom and his boys) are already going around the plant campaigning to us to go vote for Joel. Sounds like Tom will be bringing him through our plant soon. I have never heard of anyone being able to vote or run in any local union's election unless they were dues paying members in good standing at that local!
