  1. Hi gtessex. You are very welcome!

FYI, my screen-name is bbf2530. "beerchug" is the name of the beer toasting smiley icon I put at the end of my reply. For some reason, I guess the icon did not display properly and only the word "beerchug" showed up! :hysterical:

Or maybe you have your account set up to not show icons?

Anyway, this is not the first time it has happened, and no big deal either way. :hysterical:

    Good luck!

LOL! I think what happened is the icon did not display properly and when I responded the name 'beerchug' is what appeared. After I posted....I no longer saw 'beerchug'.

I am 63 years old...and can still chug down a beer or two! :drop:

  2. Hi gtessex. :D I just replaced the bulb in my brother-in-laws 2007 Milan Premier about a month or two ago. It is a twist-type bulb and can be replaced independently. The list price of the bulb at the Dealer is ~$11.00. If the parts Department at your local Dealer does not have it in stock, they will order it. I called three Dealers in my area before I found one that had it in stock. Also, the part # for the bulb is listed right on the back of the clock. But if you just speak to the Parts Department personnel and tell them you need the bulb for a 2008 Milan analog clock, they will look up the part # themselves.

One more thing: If you are still within the 3 year/36,000 mile Bumper to Bumper Warranty, the bulb replacement is covered.

Let us know how you make out.

    Good luck. :beerchug:

Thanks beerchug: I appreciate the info. FYI, the vehicle is outside of the 3 year/36,000 warranty. Great car. I'll report back once I get it fixed.

  3. Recently the light for the Analog clock has burned out. This is the only problem I have had with this vehicle since I

purchased it new. The question is.......does anyone know if it's just a light that needs to be replaced for this clock

or is the light itself inside the clock....thus a complete clock replacement?

  4. Thanks to both of you for the responses. Yes, it does have the My Lincoln Touch and I have now figured out that you can only play one cd at a time. I appologize for not knowing what all this vehicle has. This is my wife's car and I think we both need to sit down in it and just start reading the manuals from page one to the end and trying the different stuff as we read. I figured this would give me an option to copy the cd to the hardrive and then one could copy another and so forth, but I have not found any info on that yet. The manuals don't say much at all about the cd function. We really like the vehicle so far with the exception of the driver's side power seat not working. We have an appt. with the dealer this Thursday to have new parts installed to fix this. We hope this was just a fluke and not the sign more problems to come. Oh, we also had to have the two front wheels/tires swapped with another new MKX at the dealer as the vehicle pulled pretty hard to the right when we first got it. The dealer said that one of the tires was not tracking correctly. We will see on that on. It only had 4 miles on it at delivery. So, maybe it just needs to be driven a bit to loosen everything up a bit.

    Again, thanks for the replies.

I Googled '2011 mytouch users guide' and downloaded the manual as a PDF file. I don't own a MKX yet, but have driven one and spent alittle time

playing with the My Touch system. Contrary to what the dealer tells me....this is a complex system and it will take some time to learn it. Maybe

a 'piece of cake' once learned...but certainly not initially. Overall...the new MKX is a vast improvement over the previous version.
