Okay please bear with me as I'm rather new to the whole ordering process. I was wondering if somebody could walk me through what the process when a car is ordered. When I hear terms like "serialized" and others, I can guess what that means but have no idea what it means for the process of the actual car build. For example when the car is serialized, about how long after that does it actually starts being built?
So we ordered a new Mustang from the dealer and they gave me a print out that looks sort of like a cash register receipt (not even sure what this is called) listing the options and the codes for those options. At the top there is what looks like a partial VIN, guessing that is the part that says what the car is, and a build date section that is blank.
So what happens next, can anybody give me the process of how things should proceed and what I should be on the lookout for?
