You didn't say if you need the off-road capability but why not a Ecoboost powered Flex? We have one with the towing package you can tow 4500 pounds. The styling is polarizing I know but we really like ours. The Ecoboost is amazing! Eric

We have a Flex with two young kids still in boosters (lovely state of MN) and my vote is the Flex. It looks mean, drives like a dream and is different. The Explorer is nice but it looks like a lot of the other rigs on the road. (Don't bash me....I am a loyal Ford guy!). Plus....don't pass on the 'Boost - it is the most fun I have had in a car since high school! Eric

Nice truck! The pictures are large but that is ok - I got to see more details! I will post pictures of mine when it gets in. I just returned from a 400 mile road trip in our Ecoboost powered Flex - at 75 mph it gets an honest 21.5 mpg burning non-oxy 91 octane. Burning oxy fuel this time of year kills the mileage big time - I would imagine our trucks will be the same. Thanks for sharing the pics! Eric

He said by the end of March - which would be what, 6-7 weeks? I had a Priority Code of "10" on my order plus this dealer seems to get ordered vehicles fast. My parents ordered a Ecoboost in Arkansas and they were told 12 weeks too. I think it does depend on the dealer. I could be wrong though. Eric

FYI...we ordered our Platinum EB on 02-12-11 and got our VIN yesterday (02-17-11). Ours is going to be a Dearborn truck according to the VIN decoder on the Ford Fleet site. Eric

Hi, If I can chime in with my experiences with my Flex experiences ; - ) I will say the auto park feature is almost freaky. We have a 2010 Ecoboost Flex with all of the trimmings and the auto-park feature is one of things that you just know will screw up at some point - it hasn't yet so far after many, many uses. I thought it was a gimmick at first but not now. Eric

Pardon me if I am out of line here but we have an Ecoboost Flex that I will say rides rougher over the bumps than the standard Flex. I believe the suspension is different as well as the tire size too with the Ecoboost cars - both of these would certainly contribute. I live in Northern Minnesota and with us being in February the frost heave on the highways causes quite a bumpy ride. Like you noticed - on smooth roads these cars are fabulous. On bumpy rides they are not the most forgiving. I am assuming the MKT is similarly sprung as the Flex - if not, disregard my post. :-)

Hi, This past Saturday my wife and I ordered an Ecoboost Platinum F150 with all of the bells and whistles. We are beyond excited. My wife's car is currently a 2010 Flex with an Ecoboost - liked it so much I wanted one of my own! Eric
