  1. That said, I still hope they find enough reason to bring the ST Wagon here to the States.
  2. Agreed, and good point about the capacity. The current lineup is already selling near production capacity. Unless that starts to wane a bit, Ford really doesn't have any reason to bring out a new model. More than likely the reason that they are waiting on bringing the base wagon...let the rush for the current sedan/hatch to lessen up a bit.
  3. I didn't say a lot of folks would. I said it was a niche vehicle that would sell well within that niche. There are many people (myself included) that have families and have outgrown the hatchback scene. The only options offered by American manufacturers at this stage are minivans, SUVs, and CUVs (except Cadillac's CTS-V, but that's way out of my range). I personally won't go the minivan/SUV/CUV direction as I don't find driving anything in that lineup enjoyable. "Spirited driving" and "SUV" don't really belong in the same sentence. I'll go with tighter quarters and get the ST hatchback, but I would MUCH prefer an ST Wagon at this stage.
  4. The previous Focus wagon and the Focus ST wagon described above are two totally different beasts. The former was an economy wagon with plenty of other economy wagons in its segment to compete with. The latter is a performance wagon. While the ST wagon is definitely a niche vehicle, in this price range it is a niche that is untouched by any other manufacturer.
  5. I've read posts stating this as well, with one running out while the MTE stated 15 miles to go.
  6. emerrill, thanks for that update. The MFT issues are enough to make me want to spend LESS on this car and get the base model. I'll be following this closely while waiting for the ST's arrival.

    ST colors?

Anyone hear anything about colors for the ST? The Tangerine Scream is great for a showroom car, but honestly I'd rather see the Electric Orange of the previous generation make it to production. Other than that, I'm hoping the colors for the ST will be a little more bold than the current lineup.
  8. Hey from Orlando. My wife and I have been travelling to Germany and various other regions throughout Europe for a number of years, and I've always been a huge fan of the Euro versions that Ford offers there, especially the Focus ST/RS. Very happy to see that Ford is betting that I'm not the only one who wants big-car amenities minus the big car. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Focus ST in the (hopefully) near future to add to our household.
