  1. -1.5 highway +1 city 3.31 is 21% lower than 2.73 and a lot quicker to 60. I dont have the numbers, but I would guess. .4s
  2. Thanks guys, this is very helpful! I thought it might be something like this. A guy on a mustang board said the dealer coded his '12 coupe PCM for 3.31s for $70 by just hooking it up and setting it for 3.31. 3.31s are available on the coupe V6 as part of the performance package, but the performance package isn't available on the convertible. Hence my question.
  3. Thanks-- that is exactly what I wanted to know! Now it's just a question of finding a dealer that will either 1) reprogram for the 3.31s, or 2) do the gear install and the reprogram. I asked because I was told it wasn't possible because the vehicle is locked to only those gear ratios that were available from the factory (in this case, 3.31 wasn't available on the convertible). Viva la blue oval!
  4. Thanks Nick. Yes, I could flash the PCM with a custom tune, but that might affect my powertrain warranty. Since the 3.31 gears are standard in Canada, and part of the performance package, I was hoping someone could tell me how to change the ratio while keeping the stock tune.
  5. I would like to install 3.31 gears in my 2012 V6 premium convertible with a manual transmission (our third!). Can the dealer program the PCM for 3.31 gears? Is this even possible? If so, please let me know what I have to tell my dealer to proceed.
