#1 size…. The Expedition is huge! I downsized from an F150 due in large part the difficulty with parking. #2/3 style and performance…. Really enjoying the ST

Hello all, I am really enjoying my new daily driver, the Explorer ST. I would like to hear about any experiences you may have had with performance upgrades out in the real world. I have seen a lot of cat back exhaust videos on YouTube and apparently Steeda has a upgraded intercooler. I don't plan on any modifications in the immediate future, but I think there's a lot of untapped potential in the ST, and the exhaust is a great start. Speaking of which, does it really pipe in artificial exhaust sounds into the cabin? If so that is a very disappointing engineering cop-out, and when one buys a performance vehicle form should follow function, talking about the fake exhaust tips. I do love my Explorer though.

Six months in, with about 7000 miles mixed highway/city 75/25, 35mpg ( though the car's display shows 33 )

These problems can't be explained away as "break in" issues, not when a car has 5000 miles. I sure am glad I ordered the 5 speed maual. 1500 miles now and loving it.
