  3. lol this make me a bit nervous, if they cant get the manul right after, now 4 trys on thier own car, what else did they not get right?
  4. I heard the drive thru's are bad for your car paint anyway, I never use them
  5. yeah, I have noticed this too, all that flapping is going to, at the very least stretch the frabric and it will start to sag.
  6. I have notice that my left blade stays up for about 10 seconds and then drops back into place after wiper shut off. First couple of times I am like "great" my blade is broken or bent. I would have the dealer look at it to see why it is not dropping back down.
  7. and what would they be? what mods are you doing or thinking about doing?
  8. I feel so relieved that I purchased the same car that all you experts purchased
  9. I have a brand new SE 2.0L less then 800 miles and I am averaging 19.6 around town only, I rarely jump on the highway and when I do my MPG gauge steady climbs. I would say that something is defiantly wrong and I think the the dealership techs are putting it off as long as they can to not have to figure it out. Hoping a fix will be reported.
  10. How funny that the Dealer is sure its the remote start sequence but is unable to duplicate the problem. It Seems like the techs are just scratching their heads but "lets really piss the customer off and charge him anyway". I am glad you got your money back.
  11. If the dealer is sure this is what cause the problem then the problem should be able to be duplicated in a test session. Ask the dealer to duplicate what they think happen. This should really piss them off which will be a lot of fun to watch.
  12. I found this youtube link. So it can be done There is also some info on something called NavTV
  13. I would like to know this as well, I was going to stop in at "Car Toys" to see if they knew of anything that works with My Ford Touch.
  14. What a bunch of boring Forum threads. We have nothing to talk about but little inconveniences and gripes. The market has to catch up with aftermarket mods and accessories so we really have something to talk about.
  15. as some of you might know I took the buy out for my 1.6L Escape and purchased a 2.0 Escape. I was looking to just get out of the Ford Escape all together because I not happy with the car but I would have lost too much money trading it in for any other vehicle. I have to say that so far (1K miles) that this 2.0L Escape does not have the problems that the 1.6L had as far as rattling and vibration and the panels popping up. Maybe it was built at a different factory. The only difference I can tell in the two vehicles is that the suspension is a little tighter in the 2.0, meaning I feel the bumps in the road a little more in the 2.0. As far as power, it feels the same but I have not driven in the mountains yet either. So for now I am happy with the new Escape and I don't have the frustration I once had. I am not sure if it was because the first Escape was a 1.6 or it was just some what of a lemon with all the rattling. Now I have lived on both side with people who are having problems and for those that are not.
  16. I did take the 2500 offer and with the 2000 incentive I only paid and additional 2K when the trade was done. Dealer said there is allot of people doing the same thing and there is no interest in the 1.6, they are not moving at all in any vehicle. Did I make the right decision? I am sure there are those that would agree and those that would not. The new Escape has all the same options plus 2.0L and the tow package, and I went from Ruby Red to the Ginger Ale. I too have little issues with the Escape but in the end, for the most part, all I need is something to get me to work and back.
  17. dumped my 1.6 for a 2.0 only cost me 2K. I still lost money but not as bad as I thought it would be.
  18. hummm let me guess you have a 2.0?
  19. Went in today to talk numbers with my Ford Dealer. Something interesting is he told me the Rebate is actually to the Ford Dealer for taking any 2013 Ford Escapes with the 1.6L engine in on trades. It is up to the Dealer to either keep it, split it or give it totally back to the customer if they buy a new Ford vehicle. I may be wrong but I feel that ford is protecting the Dealer more than the customer in the hit these vehicles are taking. Very very sad. I did not end up making the trade. The numbers over the phone were allot better then when you actually sit down at the Dealership, then the games begin.
  20. "Totally different cooling system between the two. " All the more reason why the 1.6L engine owners are running in to Ford to Trade. I went in today to look at the numbers for a possible trade and they told me I was the 12th person in 3 days. He told me that people are really dumping them fast.
  21. Thats why the last sentence says " i still dont know what I am going to do". I have own Hondas and Toyotas and never had these types of problems, not to say that they never have recalls or breakdowns, but mine never did. This is all new to me and it makes me very nervous. I was willing to give the America car a go because I thought they had really started to deliver quaility, I think I just had the bad luck of buying this particualiar American car.
  22. yes it is true my Dealer called me today because he knows I am on the fence to trade or not to trade, he called and said that Ford is doing this. They are also giving big discounts on current 2.0s So when all is said and done I will only loose about 2k. This is a big change, a week ago I was looking at a loss of 8 to 9k. I go tomorrow to look at the 2.0. Still not sure what i am going to do
  23. But would you buy a 1.6 or a 2.0????
