My "gas pump" light comes on at 65 MTE. I took it down to zero and drove a couple more miles to the gas station. It took 14.3 Gal. I noticed the gas station icons come on the navi as soon as the warning light on the dash. I like that. Still under 1000 miles but I took my first road trip of 641 miles from Anaheim Calif to Kingman, AZ and back. Averaged 24.3 MPG. Mostly drove the speed limits but they varied from 65 mph to 75 mph. About a 20-25 mph head wind for about 100 miles w/b/ on I40 yesterday. Not great mileage but acceptable compared to what I'm used from my Jeep and before that my MDX.

They low balled me on my trade so bad my sales guy was afraid I'd walk away if he didn't do his best to find every incentive he could to make up for it.

Would it make you feel better if I told you how much money I lost trading in my 2012 Jeep Compass that only had 9300 miles on it?

Thanks for posting this.I ordered my Escape on 8/28 and at the time there was only a $1000 rebate. After reading this last week I went to Ford.com and signed up for an Escape brochure via regular mail. I was hoping to get the $750 private cash certificate before my delivery but nothing came in the mail. I was pleasantly surprised last night when I took delivery and my dealer looked up my eligibility on line. He found I was eligible for the $750 plus the $1500 cash back plus $500 trade in incentive plus $500 early order incentive. Yes! Total Ford incentives - $3250.00. I'm beginning to really like Ford.

I don't plan on intentionally testing the capabilities of my new 4WD Ti or entering any off road races just for fun. However, I occasionally leave the pavement to go hunting, fishing and gold panning and it's a real comfort to know what my vehicle's capabilities are especially when the weather gets bad.

That's what I'm talking about!Thanks Gator06. It looks to be very off road capable for the easy stuff at least. Now I know I'm going to trade in my "Trail Rated" Compass and accept delivery of my new Escape next week.

Sounds like a loose connection. That's what it was on my brothers S-550. Have it checked.

Does anyone have any off road experiences with the new Escape or links to any off road test drives?

I don't expect my new Escape to be Rubicon "Trail Rated" when it gets here but I sure hope it will be at least dirt road worthy.

Encouraging (I think). Have you had your Escape Ti offroad at all?
