The Lincoln rep I spoke to who gave me my VIN also did say they started building dealer stock 2 weeks ago - At least that is what she had for info

For me I think just having some weekly or so email communication with an update on activity. I would rather of heard of issues being corrected, if any so I knew they were working on getting the car. Until the last call with the 2/4 date I had no clue they were even doing anything with the car. Maybe a website for those who put money down I could visit to get updated. I spent a lot of time just going to Google and typing any word with MKZ to find info, that is how I found this site. Very excited about the car but it has been tough for someone who has always just purchased off the lot. Lord help me if I ever try to buy a custom home (LOL)

Thanks just sent one off with my order number and dealer code - Is there a way for me to find out my priority or not a big issue now that they have at least a week listed ?

What is a DORA & Priority ? All I have is a motor vehicle retail purchase order and it really is not that filled out either. Just price, date, and my info. Maybe since mine is now scheduled it really does not matter but being this is the first time I have ordered a car like this thought I would ask - Also spoke to Lincoln this morning and they confirmed the week of 2/4 , (dealer said 2/9) so I think this is really going to happen but I guess until I get the call it is at the dealer I am not holding my breathe on it

I placed my order on 8/18/12 > it was a long time. Way too long but this is the first time we have not just purchased off the lot so was not really sure how it worked. I was also surprised by the long time after the build date. I would loved to hear from a person that know how long a car takes to build and then why the long wait to transport. I am sure there is some sort of logistics reason but curious

Got a call from my dealer today with some good news > My build date has been set to Feb 9th . He told me then the long part will be the transport date which could mean my car will be at the dealer end of Feb to 1st of March. I hope this car is everything we hoped for !

Any updates or news on the MKZ ? I have heard nothing new from my dealer

Not worried about the model year as we keep our cars for a good bit. Have a 03 Miata and the 03 Sorrento is heading off to our middle daughter as it runs great. The Lexus does have a few less options and that is the hold out but our daughter is holding on to an old Saturn and my wife and I are getting impatient with this process and the delay without knowing why - It was a X-mass gift that is now pretty late -

Just like I said to my dealer yesterday. I do not mind waiting but this not knowing anything it tough. I wish that we had some sort of update on progress to those who ordered even if it was something they found or whatever to know the car is in progress. Far as I know at this point is they built a proto type and drove it all over claiming to have a new car, a bunch of pamphlets on a car, a gift list if the car shows up. I was even told by Lincoln yesterday the "date night"promo ended? Hell the car has not even came out for a test drive and the promo ended, kind of strange. Also still find it odd another person on this board has a VIN to track , anyone else have one ? I think if the car goes into Feb we are heading to the Lexus ES300. I know the car does not have all the options, cost a bit more but it does have a name and a CAR to stand behind right now.

I just got off the phone with Lincoln and mine is not started, no VIN, no nothing. I ordered on 8/18 so really find it odd cars are showing up at dealers, someone states they have a VIN ordered much later than I did -

Mine was 8/18 and it is fully loaded, red with the pana roof. I think only thing not ordered was inflatable seat belts, rear sun screen ( can not have with pana roof) and the seats with air bladders or something like that. At the time of order those seats came with "late availability" which is funny since it seems this whole car is "late availability" LOL

Did you order a 2013 and now already have a VIN ? Was it the Hybrid or another version . I ordered in Aug the 13 Hybrid and still have not heard anything so just wonder how you got word on yours. The only thing I did not add to mine was the inflatable seat-belts and thinking I may want to add but not if it will hold me up

So up to about or around 60 mph on electric ? Does anyone know how long you can go on just electric ? For example like under 60 for an hour or ? I know the ES 300H goes back to gas over 20 MPH so hoping to take more advantage with the MKZ

Can someone tell me under what mph does the Hybrid stay all electric and for how long? I thought the dealer said or I read like under 62 miles per hour it remains all electric but can not remember if that is correct. Even so I can not find info on how long it can do that without going back to gas. I assume that at some point it would. A lot of our driving is local under 50 so was curious , thanks I am asking about the 2013 hybrid , thanks

The issue with the color has been listed for some time but the 18-20 is pretty new. My issue is that there is absolutely no information except what to me is very vague or I have to scour the web looking myself. If there is an issue I would like to hear it, at least I feel something is being done. If I was just a guy looking I would understand but as a person that put money down on an order I would expect better info. Everyone I speak to gives me the same line of "its a beautiful car and you will be happy when it is in" > I get it, but a million bucks is great too but I do not have it either !

Sorry to say this but just got off the phone with the Lincoln customer service folks and the rep said they got the word Friday of a delay until mid to late Jan. She did not say what it is or why, just the time she gave. I ordered a fully loaded hybrid so not sure if it just the hybrid or not but it did sound like it is all versions - I thin k it is time to start looking elsewhere unless the wife is OK with waiting

I went to KBB and priced out a fully loaded one and then started with an offer of 300 over cost. The only things my does not have are > rear shade but that is because I have the pana roof ( can not have both) . The inflatable rear seat belts, and the special seats that showed late availability They have some sort of air cushions , etc in them - Mine are the heated / cooled seats front, heated rear - Paid well less than 46 K and felt pretty good about it, never even knew about any X plans, etc -
