  1. Does anyone know if Ford plans on expanding the mileage for EV+ mode? I've noticed that it kicks on when I still have 75% battery remaining. I should be able to force this or change the mileage setting that it kicks on.
  2. I live in south east Michigan with 3000 miles and my lifetime MPG is 32.4 at the moment. I have some questions I was hoping you guys could help me answer. 1. Can the ICE run SOLELY to warm the vehicle while the car is running? The reason I ask is because I've noticed times where I should be in EV mode where I wasnt because the heater setting was on. Why cant the car still use EV mode to move the car and the ICE just run in the background as needed to warm the car? 2. Has anyone else experienced issues with EV mode not kicking in when it clearly should? Meaning, there have been times where i would look at the engine operation my MFT and the reasoning it gave that the car was in "Hybrid Mode" was due to "normal operation". I can understand reasonings such as "High speed", or "acceleration." There are also times where i have to decelerate in order to kick it into EV mode. Even under optimal conditions with the cruise set. Its really irritating. 3. Can EV+ mode be forced? Are there any settings around EV+ that can be modified? Ive noticed it only turns on right before I get to my street and there is plenty of battery left. My car didnt come with GPS, but i'm pretty sure it uses GPS for EV+ mode. Can anyone else confirm? Thanks everyone!
  3. I'm getting a Fusion. Just need to decide if I go with the one I ordered (hybrid) or get a gas SE.
  4. look guys, Ill be the first to admit that I am selfish and I was only doing this for MPG savings since I drive 20,000 miles per year. If I'm not going to see a $ per month savings, then I'm going gas.
  5. Any other perks only on the hybrid that may offset some of my concerns? E.g. Noise canceling speakers.
  6. So I ordered my Hybrid Oct18 and its scheduled to arrive at the dealer on Friday. I wasn't required to put any deposit down on it when I ordered it. Based on all of the reading that I am doing on the severely poor MPG on the hybrid (35-40mpg) vs 47 on the sticker, I am having serious second thoughts on if I should just get a standard Gas. Another thing adding to this is the fact that the year end $500 bonus will NOT apply to the Hybrid. I feel that I can drive the gas vehicle how I want without having to worry about changing my driving style in order to get the necessary MPG savings that a hybrid would save me. http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=3FA6P0LU3DR190747 (car I ordered) $28,380 -500 cash back -750 coupon from brochure 27130 http://services.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/inventory/WindowSticker.pdf?vin=3FA6P0H75DR140743 (car I am debating) $22,740 -500 cash back -500 year end bonus -750 coupon from brouchure 20990 $6140 difference There is also 1775 in missing options that I have not accounted for, so really its a difference of $4365 $80/month) http://i45.tinypic.com/33ub9z6.jpg If I knew I was guaranteed 47mpg with normal driving style, I think it would make sense. I realize that some people may think this isnt morally right. However, on the flip side, I know Ford isn't going to reimburse me every year for the MPG difference that the car isn't getting (37 vs 47). I feel its up to me as the consumer to look out for my best interests. Thoughts?
  7. How much are you selling the H-Spokes for?
  8. Will hybrid fusions that were custom ordered be delayed? Mine was built 12/6
  9. what extra information will ETIS show other than the build date and information about the car? Mine was ordered on 10/18 and built 12/6 and no ETA either. I'm hoping to get the rail car info when its shipped but who knows when that will be. With the Holidays coming up, I really hope it has left so it gets here next week. Other wise probably after the first of the year. Gah. This has been the longest wait of my life.
  10. Yeah, way to come at me with a shitty analogy. Key difference here, the consumer is not the one making billions of dollars. You're a joke.
  11. Consumer reports claim their mpg testing of the hybrid is 39mpg which is nowhere near 47mpg. What's going to happen after I purchase the car in a couple weeks and I get 40mpg. Is ford going to reimburse their customers on a yearly basis for the difference. What is Everyone else getting?
  12. http://www.ford.com/cars/fusion/accessories/#page=Feature3 $282 installed. Does anyone have these? Seen these in the '13 fusion? Debating on if i should get them installed.
  13. So are the 19" H-Spokes not available on the Titanium Hybrid?
