  1. MKZtracker, As this is your last post (wish I had movement though), I just want to personally thank you for going above and beyond to keep us informed on the status of your orders. This was a tremendous help to us; just hope Lincoln CS and leadership are a fly on the wall here to learn/improve customer relations and those choke points in their delivery system.
  2. On page 18, it states at the very bottom that they will be available early 2013. I didn't order them because "early 2013" is not defined .http://www.sentryautogroup.com/public/images/2013-lincoln-mkz.pdf
  3. 1209 L2L 3LN6L2LU0DR807602 Mkz In Transit Arrived Rail - Railcar # ETTX810011 (Canadian National Railways ) Flarock, MI Feb-20-2013, 20:45 ET Feb-25-2013 I'm still stuck in Flat Rock ... going on 1 1/2 weeks with no movement.
  4. Congrats Tanner, hopefully mine will pass final inspection soon to head my way.
  5. No updated status for me. I did call my customer service rep and basically ask her to get with someone that 1. final inspection date 2. delivery date of my car. Needless to say I didn't get my answers, but I did find out Lincoln has 2 inspection teams to speed up the process; I left it alone!!!!
  6. Normally I'm pretty patient with ordering cars, but I sold my only car, so the longer it takes, the harder it is on my wife and I. Also, the more pissed off I get. As a matter of fact, I've started searching other manufactures now.
  7. Mine has remained constant at 25 Feb, so in about 4 hours, they are late. I think everyday past ETA, another $100 off the negotiated price. Bet you they would speed up then.
  8. Mine has been there for final inspection since 20 Feb and has not moved according to MKZTracker.
  9. If I remember correctly, the trucking would happen after the final inspection to speed up delivery to the owners. That's great and I sure hope they really do it, but the bottleneck I'm referring to is the trip via rail to get to the plant for inspection. Lincoln could cut their total shipment time from (13/14 days to 5/6/7 days) by "trucking" them from Joliet, IL to Flat Rock plant.
  10. Like I stated before, mine took 13 days to get to Flat Rock. It takes 5 days from Mexico to Joliet, IL which is right outside Chicago. This is where the bottleneck starts because of the high rail volume which adds another 8-9 days to only go roughly 280 miles. This is the point where Lincoln/Ford should concentrate on improving their shipment process.
  11. Posted 15 February 2013 - 05:46 PM OK...once your car arrives at Markham, IL via Union Pacific, it will probably go to Flat Rock via Canadian National Railways. Here is their contact information. Once you get through to a human, just give them the "Railcar" number (for example: mine is ETTX 810011) and they will provide the scheduled departure and arrival dates/times. 12. 7:45pm tonight my car finally arrived at the Flat Rock plant...13 days to get there.
  13. Mark will be the only one posting here for a while ...
  14. He better we lucky it is not going by rail because it would probably add an additional 7 days to that. He!!, my car is still trying to finish a 267 mile trip to Flat Rock since the 14th (average 44.5 miles a day)
  15. Tanner, Sorry to hear this news. I'm having doubts mine will be here on the 25th since I called CN today and it was still in Battlecreek, MI. She stated it has a placement date of the 22nd, but it looks like it might arrive tomorrow or early Thursday. I highly doubt the inspection will take less than 1-2 days and haul @ss down here before the 25th. I'm now thinking 1st or 2nd week of March.
  16. Mark, With that being said, mine arrives at Flat Rock tomorrow which is still 6 days prior to the ET 25 Feb. How long do you think inspection will be? Is it still possible for them to meet the 25th?
  17. More like 2-3 days as they stop and drop off cars on the way down.
  18. It left Mexico on the 7th, so 11 days total to get to Flat Rock.
  19. Just called and my car will arrive in Flat Rock tomorrow evening. Hopefully Tuesday (19th) car off-loaded and inspection process starts. I'm starting to believe they can really get it to me by the 25th, as long as the inspection is expeditiously processed and loaded on a truck by Friday.
  20. What gets me is instead of having a truck deliver them from Markham to Flat Rock which is a 4 hour drive, they send them via rail which takes over 3 days. If I were king for the day, I would have all the pre-orders delivered via truck and all others via rail.
  21. I updated the info on Rail tracking ... below is what they told me: 16 Feb 2013 / 16:00CST is departs Kirk Yard, IL via train M33291; arrives Flat Rock Plant on 20 Feb 2013 / 03:00CST. 3 days / 11 hours to go 264 miles. The 20th is a Wednesday so they have Wed-Fri (22 Feb) for final inspection (I'm sure they don't work on the weekends), and then the weekend to shipping to get here by the 25th.

  23. Thanks Mark as this helps me prepare for the final deal process. Man I wish we (hybrids) had that low of a money factor.
