  1. Yes you do Fastronaut! I just read your waiting saga on your signature. What was your major safety failure once delivered?
  2. Took Shaggy's advice and called Ford- they escalated it to the regional director who will work to get my car out of the rail car holding graveyard with a call promised today - we shall see. The GM from the dealership also called me and apologized big time and I took the opportunity to let him know of the areas where they can improve regarding communication. I was told they wouldn't be surprised if I was sitting in my new vehicle by this time next week. Man I hope so. If not I will either go somewhere else to pick up one off a lot or pursue purchase of a Mazda 6 - 2014. Believe me I really prefer the fusion for so many reasons but my frustration from the wait - especially Fords terrible inefficiency in their system to have my car sit there for a month in the rail car graveyard after i have already waited so long, and the lack of communication have all left me with a sense that they don't care that much. It pleases me to think of distancing myself from that. Why do I have to make a bunch of calls to escalate this issue? Shouldn't customer support/service have this at a high priority already due to the time since order. Anyway I have to remember that this sounds like whining to most forum members - to those of us having waited for a long time I am sure you understand.
  3. Thanks Malibu and Shaggy. I called the general manager today and sent a request to customer service at ford. Here is hoping. I found myself researching cars again out of frustration and looked at tesla (too expensive - amazing car though), Honda (looks old), Toyota (ugly), and Hyundai (nice looking elantra but cheaper material looking). I begin to look at Mazda and realize shaggy's 50 mile radius trick. I found a red HyTi 2 states away and will call in the morning. I don't want to wait for the 2014 model. I may still go white but red will make me happiest one year from now. Thanks for the advice. I can't believe I have waited so long, I didn't realize anyone was left but was encouraged once again to see how long you have waited shaggy.
  4. As you know I have been waiting since before Christmas for my car. It has been in Chicago off rail since April 28. My dealer hasn't told me what's going on instead saying they will get back to me, only after I reach out to them first. So I just randomly decided to search their inventory online for cars on their lot. What do you think I find the exact car as mine only tri-coat white. Man am I mad. They could have at least offered it. Price is even lower. I will call them tomorrow - again. Do I: a) wait for red and renegotiate lower price, b) go white it's sweet and my second choice that would make me equally happy, d) dump this dealer even if I have to pay $100 more for the vehicle?
  5. The X-act husky's seem nice to keep your feet above the wet mud and snow. I clicked the link to buy but it said not available for ford fusions. Anyone else have luck with it? I want weather beater coverage with rubber extrusion to keep my feet above the fray

  7. My car was built on the 20th and it was supposedly due today. Still not here. It was off the rails 2 weeks ago- sigh.

  10. My window sticker on my Hybrid Titanium says "Hill Start Assist" but Ford ETIS says less Hill Start Assist. What is this feature? Do those that have Hybrid Titanium's have this in their car? Thanks for your help.

  12. I feel your pain patience. My dealer ignores me over the last 6 months except when I persistently call. Then I get a nice responsive and helpful answer. I have only bothered to reach out to them 3 times because of how lame they are. Cyberdman is much moe helpful. I had a little fun (despite my frustration) when my most recent calls for status had them tell me the 21st of this month. Cyberdman told me it was the 11th. so when I shared Ford told me this date they became unite responsive and called more in the last 2 days then the last 6 months combined. My only revenge will be the after purchase survey - I get to tell them they have are reactive only and don't care enough to be proactive. I tell you it makes me realize that if I owned a dealership I could crush them and give Ford an amazing name!

  17. I was just thinking that I am the last of the crew that ordered in 2012 still waiting on their car. All of my compadres that joined me on page 1 of this post have received there cars and we are now on page 124. A lonely planet of fusion for me. I am nearly there, i heard 2 weeks ago it would be 5/9 and Cyberdman's update 1 week ago told me it was off the train in Chicago with a new eta of 5/15. 2 weeks post train is excruciating. I have no idea why it's so late compared to my early December order date but now that I am so close I feel anxious, excited and even frustrated! I haven't received a call from the dealer for an update even ONCE in 6 months since ordering. I have pursued each time. What a bummer. My only lingering memory of favor for them is the reasonable price I was offered. They have 15 Fusions on their lot and only one hybrid (SE). Maybe their allocations suck so extremely bad that I end up in a wasteland of the "end of the road." To entertain myself I dream of sticking it to the system and waiting for a 2014 but in all honestly it hurts only me and I really just want my beautiful car. Can I get a shout out!
  18. Glad you are asking, I want to know too. The premium floor mats that are 20 oz shiva carpet is $175and the other side of the spectrum are Walmart $10 specials that are really cheap. I take receipt of my vehicle within a week and I would like a good option too. On the rubber mat front you can find posts recommending the weathertech and husky liners respectively, I wonder if they have a great carpet option.
