  1. I notice this in comparison to my 2004 Honda Civic. Takes a bit of getting used to but now I am ok with it.
  2. First fill up since the update, I am surprised to have my lowest fuel economy yet at 36.9 vs. averaging 40mpg before. I notice while driving it switches to the battery more frequently but isn't able to sustain it as long. This is traveling over the same roads I was before on my commuter route to work. It's only one fuel up so I will reserve judgement for a bit but I was surprised. The weather wasn't terribly different either. We will see.
  3. I drove my hybrid like a normal car today, no hypermiling, no egg between me and the pedal, and I got....well...normal gas mileage- 25-30mpg. Who knew.?! It felt great not paying attention until the guilt hits afterwards that I just blew .4 lifetime mpg in one drive. Duh.
  4. I tried a search also and only found it for 2012 and earlier. Hopefully it should be in the same place just different mechanism to release in the glove compartment. Have you tried to take it apart yet?
  5. Just had this update done so too soon to notice a change. I have 1700 miles on my car so far. Should I reset the miles per gallon? Can this be reset for more than just trip, can it be done for lifetime?
  6. And seriously, that is considered undesirable, correct? Not normal. This guy is passing it off like it is perfectly legit.
  7. I took my Fusion in for the outer A frame covers peeling off (outer piece not sticking), housing on rear view mirror rattling, TSB fuel economy update, MFT sync update, and MFT cluster update. All went well except when I pick it up I ask them if they think the MFT cluster update will fix the issue where I can only fill 11 gallons of my 13.5 gallon tank when the electronic instrument panel tells me I have less than 30 miles left in the tank. my service guy at the dealer could have said " I hope so" and left it at that. Instead he launches into a stupid argument saying it is normal to have at least 3-4 gallons in the tank at time of fill up when it says it is empty. he says it happens because the fuel line is located above the tank and will begin to suck in air even when there is 3-4 gallons in the tank so you should always fill it at 1/4 tank. I asked why ford would purposefully design the fuel line so far above the bottom of the tank to leave 3-4 gallons in it and so the gas is unavailable to use and it can only suck air into the fuel line. He said all modern cars are made this way now. I told him that's a dumb design and I don't believe it. ,I furthermore said if its true then the electronic panel telling me how many miles till empty is flawed and I want that fixed. We went around and around and I left feeling like this guy and dealer sucks and are dishonest. I told him pf the TSB. Could it be possible he is right and I am wrong. Someone set me straight!
  8. The 2.0 liter on the 2013 ffh is small, I want a bigger engine without sacrificing fuel efficiency. A 3.0 liter is Perhaps a stretch but this is a wish list afterall. I drove the 2.5 liter 2012 ffhh for 2 months and it shifted smoothly and sounded good. The 2013 fusion hybrid I drive sounds overworked when the motor kicks in. Overall it's a great car! I cant imagine if it was a 1.5 liter though, thats crazy. Can anything be done?
  9. I am really glad for the software upgrade, thats great and i hope it helps not just the mpg but the change from hybrid to engine to sound smoother. i do have quite a bit of pulsing on the highway too and loud engine whine when not in ev mode.. The transmission evct seems to control the switch between hybrid and engine and makes the engine sound like its running high whenever its in engine mode. Does anyone else hear this too and can explain this? It is my first hybrid so maybe this is normal and I am not used to it. By the way I get 37.8mpg so far but only 900 miles in it so far.
  10. I am so glad I didn't wait for the 2014. Another lost opportunity for Ford to set apart the Titanium with the coolest dual exhaust rear I have seen matching the coolest front end I have seen. I can only say how sorry I am to those that feel let down. I did too for my 2013 order at the time for this very reason. I can tell you though that sitting in my titanium each day I enjoy the ride and the many features of the vehicle anyway.
  11. I'm 20 days into my NuShield AAA and it works flawlessly and doesn't show fingerprints much at all.
  12. I want to play a DVD in the vehicle for my kids during a long trip. Reading the users manual it appears it can be done while stopped but not while driving. I understand the safety concern but I'm not planning to watch finding memo for the 20th time anyway. Does anyone know how to jailbreak this to allow DVD's to be played?
  13. I shared this in the progress on orders post but I wouldn't count on getting the rebate past the extension date. I called ford marketing with one week left in my rebate expiration and my car was off rail in mid transport with a hold on delivery eta. Ford marketing said they have never extended it and wouldn't for me either. I searched the ford website and changed zip codes searches to find my exact car at another dealers lot. My dealer made the trade for me to make the deadline. I closed on my car on the exact last day of expiration. That was close! My dealer was happy for me to get the extra rebate.
