  1. I went to ETIS for an update just to see. My born on date isn't expected until 4/15. Look at the build date it suggested, anyone else have this and can help me make sense of it? Primary Features. Build Date: 30.11.0002. Vehicle Line: Transit Connect 2002-. Engine: 2.0 4V DOHC PFI Gas/Electric. Transmission: ECVT Auto Trans Power Split.
  2. Hi Cyberdman, searching for an update please. F4110/8483. VIN 3FA6P0RU4DR295692 although i searched for it and couldn't find it. Was told last by my dealer the scheduled build date is 4/15.
  3. Where is the VIN checker website again? I didn't really want to search through all 69 pages to find it. If someone remembers that would be great otherwise, a search it will be.
  4. Sorry taylorjd, I forgot to mention they gave me the build week also, it is 4/15/2013!
  5. I was honestly surprised to get my VIN today. I went into the dealer because I took a family member in to the service department for service on his 2012 Ford Fusion Hybrid. He hadn't drove it in 3 weeks and the battery went dead. Anyway, I felt really smart because I name dropped all my knowledge from these forums, asking them to look up the vehicle visibility report and complaining to them that they must have low allocation since its been so long since my order. The dealer was actually very helpful. I learned that my December order was the first order for their dealership and they have since had 2 other orders for Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium's. Leaving the dealership I saw 10, count 'em, 10 other Fusion's on the lot (and no titanium's). Anyway, I am really giddy to finally have my VIN. Awesome!
  6. I ordered Ruby Red! I see the trend. Definitely there will be a lot of red paint that day!
  7. I join Wazzul and Phantom Tech with a VIN on my baby!! oh yeah!!! It feels so good to finally have a light at the end of the tunnel. WOOHOOO! TaylorJD if you would be so very kind and add VIN # 3FA6P0RU4DR295692!
  8. I was trying to explain to my wife how my early Christmas present order for a Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium turned into a post Easter expectation of 5 months. Can you help me fill in the blanks, as many of us are together in this and have tracked the progress over the same time period. My wife thinks I'm nuts for waiting 20 weeks or more but this really has become somewhat of a "good things come to those that wait" thing. Can you help me recap? I'm sure I have some of this wrong so straightening out my inaccuracies is much appreciated. I ordered in December and Ford always said Production would begin in early 2013 SE models were being built in January Titanium models were bumped in February for Energi's to go first (Job2) Quality concerns delayed all production until quality was back up to satisfactory levels Delays were several weeks pushing into March. Cars being built but not at usual rate? Moonroof delays, Ruby Red Color Delays Small dealers get small "allocations" of orders so presuming I fit this category I wait until all large dealers go first My wife thinks I could receive the car as the model year comes to an end- I have nothing to suggest it would be different In need of accurate explanations of delays (and encouragement)
  9. If the Goodyear Eagle LS2 is not LRR I wonder why Ford chose it for 3 different vehicles?
  10. Congratulations! Fusion TX! 3am and we are on the boards.
  11. I've enjoyed this heavy conversation! LOL. Well worth this years $100 fee anyway:). Easy for me to say since I don't live in VA. Anyway, I'll stay on topic and simply say the electric tax vs gas tax dilemma will stay with us for some time to come especially as hybrids continue to gain in popularity and the desire to offset revenue lost.
  12. Evolution is a theory, not a fact. Popular opinion does not make science.
  13. That helps a lot. I would enjoy seeing the write up of their testing, if they post it. It may help others understand these parameters also. It's good to know Ford wasn't embellishing results, it was just the outcome of the testing regimen.
  14. I have gone back and forth between switching to a gas titanium vs the hybrid I have on order. The dual exhaust and the sharp Choice in wheels on the gas beat out the hybrid but the great mpg has me staying with hybrid, even with my disappointment. I really would love to hear from the ford engineer that made the decision to drop it from the line up, it had to be a difficult one. I hope they add it back it would sell more cars.
  15. I like the dashboard shape it is the first I have seen of it., I think that is Energi specific right?
  16. Carbon footprints and climate change seems like the flavor of the day to me. I am old enough to remember the last fads where we would all die from acid rain or the ozone layer depletion. Now we don't talk about that anymore, the grant money from the government dried up on that and were on to this nonsense. Forgive me if I am not convinced, sounds like another way to get government grants for research. I chose a hybrid because I love the lack of reliance on gas and calculated a break even rate of 5 years after prepaying extra for it. Since I hope to own my car for quite some time I hope I save money. I don't want to be taxed extra for it. I am tired of the government who works for us continuing to dream up new ways to have us part with our money. So I don't like the $100 per year, not because of the amount but because they just added yet another tax! Enough with taxes. If we were running a tight ship of efficiency I would gladly support more but we have proven to be wasteful, unreliable, and irresponsible. I don't claim to have a million facts to back up my claims so don't bother poking holes in my thinking, because its just that, my thinking. I have a right to it and I don't care if you agree with me. Wow that feels good.
  17. I would wait for dual integrated exhaust
  18. I found out from Cyberdman that I am still Unscheduled clean. Disappointed but grateful to know where I stand. I am worried about my $750 coupon expiring now April 1st. I really hope there will be further incentives on hybrids and am crossing my fingers my dealer will honor the $750 beyond the expiration date. Without a VIN it may be difficult. BTW I think Cyberdman is awesome to help people find out their status. What a great service he provides.
  19. Hi Cyberdman! Thanks for your service. Looking for status on my Fusion hybrid Dealer code 41A100 Order number 8483 Priority 12, order date 12/6/2012
