  1. I have 100 miles since the PCM calibration (13B07 version 85.05) and it was obvious at 72 mph in Eco cruise- my normal commute speed - since it was in hybrid more frequently than the previous all ICE in the same conditions. I did not notice any other obvious changes in the HVAC or other cockpit available sensations. So can't tell if shutters were closed more, ICE temp rise time, etc. I had it done as part of scheduled maintenance and getting 2 issues fixed. Issues were: auto trunk would pop open frequently when parked and driver door speaker rattled at certain bass frequencies (THX system). Both repaired so far.
  2. I hope this helps explain what I see going on here. If you want to hear more interesting things about our new cars just ask, I have talked long enough already. Given your previous comments, for a car that spends most of its time between 60 and 72 MPH, has 10,0000 miles on it and an ave MPG of 40.3, would you reprogram it or not?
  3. I pulled them off as part of my delivery inspection with the dealer. We assumed they were part of the shipping protection or part of the window install/glass protection film. Several rain storms and no leaks. I also had the dealer tint all windows so I was looking specifically at that work when I discovered the tape.
  4. 36.4 lifetime mpg @ 975 total miles. 900 of those miles are at 70mph using adaptive ECO cruise control
  5. Extremely useful. The combination of adaptive cruise, lane control and ECO cruise on the hybrids works very well. I have had the adaptive cruise shut off in moderate rain as the radar resolution cell is overwhelmed, but this only reinforced my opinion as the software responded and shut the system off (regular cruise control still worked fine) as it should. The lane keeping system has been working very well for me but I only use it in conjunction with the adaptive cruise, and not as a driving aid for two lane roads. The ECO cruise works great compared to standard cruise control and is near imperceptible until you go back to standard cruise control settings for comparison. The auto wipers and auto highbeams are also very useful and have proven very reliable and accurate and require no driver input other than to adjust wiper speed. I have found in fog/mist that the wipers will occasionally and appropriately make 1 sweep to clean the windscreen. The collision warning system gets your attention as it should both through the aural alert unit and heads up display across the windscreen and seems to be at about the right level of sensitivity though I don't know exactly what parameters it's using to alert the driver. The adaptive headlamps are also very effective and somebody had trouble with checking whether they were working or not, but to me they are readily apparent and useful. The only tech issues that I have had are with using a new iPOD shuffle in the sound system as I get a message that says it is not supported while the other iPODs have all worked.
  6. Thank you. I have. So the answer seems to be unethical collusion between senior Ford and Lincoln management and some of us in order to receive out of order sequence preferential delivery. I am out. That is the final tipping point for me.
  7. Sorry. I expect similar when/if mine is delivered. Fairly predictable when you take a freshly painted car with no paint sealant and leave it in the open air Sonoran desert for multiple weeks (my assigned VIN has been sitting in lot 54 for 6 weeks) and/or load, unload, move between railheads, factories and dealers multiple times as part of the QA process. Irony as we keep hearing in the press that the delays will bring better products, yet the process is causing these defects. My plan is to get the car in the paint shop at the dealer and go over it with their guy. I use a dual LED light as part of detailing anyhow so will just bring it with me to look for blemished or repaired poorly clear coat. Hole in the armrest-no idea. I once picked up a new Vette and the semi driver unloading it at the dealer scratched the door with his belly/belt buckle while getting in, so my guess is a driver caused that post inspection somehow. Good luck.
  8. Thanks. Good report. I hope you have continued success.
  9. Your answer is exactly what I mean by an internal look.
  10. Compare it to something outside of Ford in order to provide a better yardstick and analysis. Looking internally explains a lot
  11. I will tell the truth. I blame Lincoln management and not the dealer at this point. I received the same offer from CS but they could not define that in a dollar amount.
  12. I am very comfortable with program management for new aircraft and vehicle introductions. Most of my experience is with aircraft, advance materials and design to include all aspects of engineering, flight testing, production, training and product improvements. That is why I find this so absurd. Particularly after building a new line in Hermosilla just for this car. Compare all other new vehicle design to market processes with your experience. Watch the c7 vette, look at the ATS. Any systems engineering approach or lean six sigma analysis would have solved this months ago or if not would have at least put it into sales and marketing to buy time to resolve the production and delivery issues. Hell, I offered to go get the vehicle or pick it up anywhere along its route in order to move it from the production and quality assurance processes and into the warranty process. Their in stream visibility and off ramp processes are from the last century. They are incapable of dealing with my offer. Look at Corvette's museum factory delivery for comparison of a vehicle intended to keep a positive customer experience. I have picked up 2 vettes at the factory this way and been the first to start each one of them. Lincoln's 1/2 speed decisions and series of inept compromises began with design and engineering resulting in such decisions as the mast AM antenna for pano roof cars. Production tool up began as soon as the 2012 line stopped. This is what these people do for a living and have the legacy of Henry Ford's assembly methods, yet cannot produce a car to our hands in almost a year since the 2012 line stopped.
  13. Great question. I am aware of very uneven treatment to now include apparent preferential deliveries. When I first brought this up with my dealer, he seemed unaware of how some dealers in other regions had cars and that the order of pre-order deliveries was clearly not based on sequential original order sequence. I was to told it was based on hybrids vs non. When I identified hybrid deliveries made out of order sequence, I was told pano roof or other options caused the delivery order to be out of sequence. I wish there was some mystery Mkz cabal or that I am specifically targeted but I do not believe Lincoln is competent enough to do that at this time.
  14. Good I wish you well with it. I was a 1 October order and the car is in a Mexican parking lot with the square root of zero for delivery projection.
  15. Same. So I plan on giving it back as part of my payment on delivery of the car. Just another piece of the mess of this order.
  16. Good luck. I wish I had just given a deposit and had the flexibility to walk without a loss. The dealer would prefer that I take the Cadillac at this point due to this long delay,as the second vehicle I am trading has lost value. My fitst vehicle in the deal was where the money was for the dealer and it sold instantly by the dealer last Oct. That combined with the sales price is really pinching this for the dealer as well and more so everyday the delivery is delayed. The dealers were compensated by Lincoln, a giftcard (mine was rejected so I will use it as part of my payment to the dealer) is minor buyer compensation in my case due to my original deal. Good luck.
  17. http://www.donlen.com/production-cars-ford.aspx Don't know if there is a connection to part of our delays based on quality assurance checks and the panoramic roof options (51c) but donlen is listing a 4 week delay for cars ordered with that option. That came with the same note covering multi contour seat (66c) and color options being dropped.
  18. You will find a zillion opinions on this topic. I would not pay a dealer. When I get a new car, the only thing I go through the dealer for is window tint. They typically use a local shop with minimal dealer mark up and then I can take it back to the dealer if there is a problem with it. For new paint, I clean the car again by hand then use a very light clay bar. I do not polish new clear coat. I then seal it with a product called rejex. Rejex takes 12 hours to cure. It tells you that wax is not required but I prefer a deeper look so add a layer of pure carnuba wax. http://www.rejex.com/
  19. Thank you for your help. I could not respond via pm due to forum rules and my lack of 40 posts but thank you.
  20. Who is "them?" Head of national ford sales, Czuby? If I had any luck with the dealer, regional rep or CS, I would'nt be bugging you on this forum. Mkztracker stopped yesterday and I am looking for another resource.
  21. Thank you. Since you have direct comms with him, can you ask him to post here just once with where the current production to delivery process is as of nopw, his future QA improvement process/methodology and an update for those of us with VINs without preferential handling, please?
