  1. .9 % is basically free money ! Take the financing. Use the cash and invest it somewhere
  2. Weather is fantastic, stay awhile. PS I think you were asking about daytime running lamps? I am willing to bet there is a setting ( not published ) for doing this. Most cars have the option built in but you have to know how to activate. Typically something like a reset click plus switch position in a certain sequence or timing. Somebody will figure it out or once the dealerships get their act together will be able to do it
  3. I use the cruise ( turn on eco cruise) but only on open road so definitely when youre on the interstate on your trip. Anything in town or even on the highways with traffic around here in good old Phoenix and you're probably more efficient without it.
  4. Empower guage works best because it gives you the threshold of when you can hit EV mode. Dedo even over 75 mph and you should still be getting 37-38 mpg. The gas engine is pretty efficient on flat ground. Like Tanner said, get to speed, slightly let up go to EV and cruise as long as you can at steady speed. If you look at the gauge there are times where it will be in gas mode and a slight adjustment on my part and I go EV with no loss of speed. I'm at 41.6 MPG lifetime with just under 4k miles
  5. And I just received my "survey". A little conflicted to be honest about how much I want to tear into the dealership at this point. I've got plenty of suggestions for them about handling customers even when they have no information......but I don't want anybody to spit on my lobster tail and steak I will be served when I get an oil change.
  6. Maybe those cars that squeaked through had the only 6 good hood latches in North America? Don't sweat it Dedo. Parts delays don't always mean parts problems... A slight redesign or extra spring that isn't sourced perfectly causes the same back ups as a missing door. Sometimes I think we know too much and it makes us worry about the details that until we knew better, we didn't realize happened everyday. Not excusing anything on this horrific launch, just choosing to not kill myself over it anymore. Well especially since I'm loving my car
  7. XG what's up? You've got to be kidding me? For what it's worth all and I'm just popping back in as one of the few who received their car. I love this thing. Now keep in mind that I had the same crappy service and ordered in early Oct to just get it a few weeks ago but still between Mark, Dedo, Tanner, and myself we've only reported good stuff back to each other. Is it worth it? The pain up front makes you wonder how long the good vibes will last if there are any inherent issues with build or quality. So far so good though. I think this car is 10x nicer in person than in pics as compared to the fusion, which I like by the way, but is just the opposite. Also if you're getting the hybrid, I'm getting all the MPG I would expect. Lifetime (not trying really all that hard) in mixed city and highway over 2k miles is almost 42. If I try, I get 48 mpg on a 35 mile trip to my office that is 50% highway. I like. Compliments from strangers in parking lots everywhere I go. Of course when all of you get your cars it won't be so unique anymore. So hang in there guys if nothing else for the supreme ass kissing you will get when you pick it up and they bring up the "survey". Also I would suggest negotiating in nice monster warranty for free or the upgrade of your choice for our troubles. They have a hard time justifying not giving it to you considering what you've been through. Best of luck !
  8. I suppose I was lucky. Although my eta changed in the end it did somehow make the train. Ordered 10/5 and delivered 2/23 Pretty baffled at the whole thing really as it stands now and whyTanners car which was built a few days before mine and would be delivered to a dealership 20 miles away didn't make the same train.
  9. Tanner I forgot to tell you.... I had a message from LIncoln customer service yesterday telling me that my car was at the PHX rail yard.... Ok so this was 2 days after I BOUGHT IT ! Of course I did yell at the dealer on Friday as to why it was going to take 3 days to get my car FROM the rail yard to the dealership and I had a call within 2 hours but still.... somebodys system isn't updated. Gotta laugh What this really means Tanner and XG is that your car could be right under your nose..... you just don't know it. You might call Home Depot or Walmart and ask them if they know where your car is
  10. Definitely agree We've all got decisions to make... do what works for you. This is my first experiment with a hybrid myself and basically share the thought process. Being no premium as there normally is on a hybrid is a huge plus.
  11. I've had cars where that is the case also. The comment above was using the reading the car gave me for that particular trip. It breaks it down by EV mode / gas etc. I haven't used an entire tank yet to do any comparison though
  12. Mark I'm really impressed with the hybrid technology. Very smooth and basically undetectable if you didn't have the guages. There's so much information available too I know I've just scratched the surface. It's fairly peppy too, no hesitation or weakness at all. Like I said I've really not been trying to drive differently, in fact I'm going to run through this tank and see how I fare and then see how I do. Lets see a Prius, or the MKZ .... ? By the way, the stereo is pretty rockin' too. Great car so far and to an earlier post if it matters, I have not found any fit and finish issues or odd fitment pieces whatsoever.
  13. Hey XG, Smoked Quartz is quite a bit darker than is shown in any pictures or even the online build tool. I was expecting a more Titanium type color. It's a pretty handsome color on this car and I'm not unhappy with it but if you're in the shade it almost looks blue it's so dark. In the sunlight it really looks sharp. I would go to a dealership and look at the color on an MKS or MKX and see if you like it.
  14. 35.7 mi to work this am, about 50% highway... Any guesses to what my trip mpg was???? 45.3 ! No joke. I'm telling you pretty happy with 38 but even though I'm not trying this car is making me drive more economical as I observe how it's interacting and using the motors. I thought I read also that it will learn your common routes and adapt. Maybe I was dreaming that part BTW Tanner hang on for the Bordeaux color. Don't settle for the red. My opinion
