  1. Mine arrived in Phoenix on 3/19/13 and I never knew where it was until my salesman told me it was in Tucson on 3/25/13. Took delivery on 3/26/13, very late that evening because my salesman wanted the next day off.
  2. cyberdman, I can't figure out how to upload a picture into a post so here is a link to the gallery of another forum I uploaded some picture of the car to. There are also pix of my charger install so just sift through until you come to the car. Thank you for you help: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/gallery/album/7-pluggedins-charger-install-and-2013-energi/
  3. How did you upload this picture. I would like to upload pictures of the charger and my car but can't see how to import them into a post. I tried drag and drop but the pix are way too big.
  4. I was out for a drive this morning and a white 2013 Fusion with dual integrated exhaust pulled out in front of me on a two lane road. It was only there for a short time, as left turn down the road a bit. I have been a proponent of dual exhaust, for the Ti models, for some time now but I must say I did not like it on the standard white (Oxford?) 2013 Fusion I saw. The area that holds the exhaust tips was black and it just looked like a great big frown in front of me. I wish I had my camera with me. I have seen the dual exhaust on darker colors and the appearance was much, much nicer and classy looking. Not so much on the white, for me.
  5. Ouch, thank you mother, may I have another? I hope you take that in the humorous way it was meant to be. I didn't mean to be an irritant to someone who is as generous and helpful with his time as you are, sorry. Pix next week, I hope.
  6. Last update on 3/13/13, can I get another today, please. VIN: 3FA6P0SU2DR242421; Dealer: F71204; Order: 7016
  7. Yes, of course. Will do. Will do when I can figure out how to upload pictures, that is, lol...and thank you.
  8. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: :happy feet: I got a call from my salesman this afternoon who said as of 9 am this morning my car was on a train passing thru Tucson on its way to the Phoenix distribution center for delivery to me by next Monday or Tuesday, at the latest. I also confirmed that with @Ford who gave me an ETA of 3/26/13 . I'm no longer Jones'n for my car Please update my file JD
  9. Yes, that's the post. Dealer labor not included in his quote.
  10. JD, about a week ago I saw a thread on this forum that estimated $1,200, parts and labor, for the retro of the dual exhaust on the Energi Ti. I looked for the post for the dual exhaust that was already posted (looked on Blue Oval and Energi forums) but could not find it on either forum but ran out of time, so I gave up. The retro was to be done at a Ford dealership, as I recall.
  11. Pers69, I could not answer your PM, I only have 36 posts and need 40. I appreciate your input.
  12. So, ice-capades (or anyone else that Manages at a Ford dealership), do you have any suggestions as to how I can go about getting my car on a rail car from Hermosillo to Tucson? My car was produced on 2/7/13 and, as far as I know, there are no quality issues with it. But it still sits and waits...and has for 5 weeks now. My salesman has been extremely helpful and has absolutely no problems giving me updates a couple of times a week but seems helpless, in this circumstance, and can only thank me for my patience. And Ford Service directed me to another dealer to buy a different car. Do you, or anyone else, know anyone at Ford who has the clout to move a car off of Mexican soil and onto a rail car headed north?
  13. Last update on 3/4/13, can I get another today, please. VIN: 3FA6P0SU2DR242421; Dealer: F71204; Order: 7016
  14. As per your build week, your car is not yet produced. Go here during your build week: http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleSelection.do, click on the "Vehicle" tab, enter your VIN and click search. A couple of days after your car is built the default date that is shown will change to your build date. About a week later your parts list will populate. Go here for a discussion on swapping out wheels and tires: http://www.fordfusionenergiforum.com/topic/568-upgrading-to-larger-wheeltires/.
  15. This will be interesting to watch. Maybe cyberdman is wrong and they moved you up a week.
  16. Sorry brother, reread rule #4. CU next week sometime.
  17. Well, I have seen several cars made after mine get on a rail car this week. So I would like to see if mine made it too, if you would be so kind as to check on the disposition of my car this morning. VIN: 3FA6P0SU2DR242421; Dealer: F71204; Order: 7016 Thank you cyberdman.
  18. ETIS is what everyone here uses to determine when their car was built. Cast in stone, as far as I know.
  19. Hey cyberdman, I hope you had a great time while you were gone. Welcome back! Can I get an update on VIN: 3FA6P0SU2DR242421, please. Dealer: F71204, Order: 7016
  20. Well doesn't the "locked in" strategy just confuse the crap out things for those of us with cars on order? To me it means they really don't want customer orders. That they would prefer you to wait until you see one on the lot and buy it, whether it has all the options on it you want or not. Sweet.
  21. Jeff, I noticed you asked cyberdman for an update on two VIN's today. He is on vacation until 3/4/13. My car was built on 2/7/13 too and is still in Mexico waiting for a rail car, as of today at noon. No telling when they will be shipped. Cyberdman doesn't like us answering posts on his thread so I am doing it here.
  22. Exactly what I meant and I don't think I made that clear in the survey. But I'm pretty sure the Ford folks can figure that part out, if they want to. In answer to Mr. Fusion, above, the MKZ Hybrid is 2" longer than the Fusion, with the same wheel base, and its base curb weight is 3,719 lbs. Which is about 194 lbs lighter than the Energi but is 104 lbs heavier than the Fusion Hybrid, as I recall. Where it may be losing MPG's is the 18" wheels that are standard on the base model. But who knows for sure? At any rate, a single exhaust with dual bright tips in the bumper (one being a dummy, for looks) should not add any appreciable weight to the Fusion Hybrid or Energi Titanium models. I'm hoping Ford uses the same rear bumper on all Fusion's and there will be a knock out in the bumper for the bright tips. If so, there will dummy tips on my car at some point; or I may reroute the the single exhaust to the bright tip in the right side of the bumper.
  23. I just took a JD Powers Survey on the 2013 Fusion and one of the questions asked was "If you had a chance to tell Ford to add or change one thing on the Fusion, what would it be"...or words to the effect. I chose to tell them to put Dual Chrome Integrated Exhaust Tips in the rear bumper of the Titanium Fusion Hybrid and Energi.
