  1. I liked every color except the Deep Impact Blue. Sterling Gray & Platinum White were my #'s 1 & 2, though.
  2. I love my 1.6 EB SE after 1 1/2 weeks of ownership! Acceleration is acceptable, and the handling & ride are much better than I expected. Smokey & Froggy Smokey after tint & Eclipse SunShade install My girl did some things in the past I can't discuss without her permission.
  3. I'd suggest contacting Ford Customer Service with your concerns. If they say there's an ECU update in the works, please pass the news on. I'm waiting to see if Fusions w/ EcoBoost engines end up having similar problems attaining the EPA numbers. It seems many 1.6 owners are very unhappy. Me, I'm waiting for my car to be fully broken in, then I'll see how it all pans out. Less than 400 miles on him so far. I will say this: Ford engineers didn't cheat, they built a car to ace a test, which it did. The only problem comes up when an owner's regular driving habits deviate from the EPA test cycle protocol. Then MPG drops; in some cases it *falls off a freaking cliff*. I'd suggest keeping the fuel/mileage screen active, and modifying your driving style, to maximize the mileage you get. Not a great solution, but it may help. Regarding how the cars were engineered to "ace" the EPA test, it kinda reminds me of our education system. Kids are taught how to pass a test (TAKS here in Texas), but that doesn't mean they're learning what they should be. They make a school system look good, but may be relative idiots, outside the scope of the standardized test the school system must appease. The problem isn't fully with Ford, it's on the test the system has in place. A complaint to the EPA would also be in order.
  4. That's odd, regarding the parts then. Seems it's just luck of the draw. Whatever box they have laying around that day, LOL.
  5. mmm....I read on another forum that there was an issue with the installation of the rear window on some of the 2013s. You'll notice we don't have trim around the glass. IIRC the issue was related to how the glass is laid in place. If not proper & even, the "gasket" can get displaced during install (the glass won't be properly sealed), resulting in condensation inside. I'd ask my dealer about this, maybe see if there's a way to check closely.
  6. FWIW, my SE has the touch sensitive areas (not individual buttons) for the map light controls (no sunroof here). One weird thing I've noticed is that my map lights will be on, and I know I didn't switch them on. I've read here that the touchpads will activate with a near swipe, rather than a full press, as a "feature". I'm thinking that when I adjust my rearview mirror, the switch reads my hand, and turns the lights on. I've only had my car about a week, so I've been adjusting the mirror a lot, as I get settled into a comfy driving position. If this is indeed the case, then I wonder if Ford is aware of similar issues, and replacing the pads with real buttons. Regarding the seemingly nonsensical application (no rhyme or reason) of touchpad vs buttons in the Fusions mentioned in this thread, the only question I can ask is: Where was your Fusion built? Maybe the U.S. plant has the buttons now, but Hermosillo, MX still has touchpad parts. My car is a Hermosillo baby. I'm not 100% sure where to find the build date. My info plate inside the driver's door says 11/12. The only thing I see on the window sticker is at the bottom center, down below the MSRP, I see "10 31 12" after other numbers & letters. Maybe "Smokey" was born on Halloween. Where's the proper place to find the build date?
