  1. Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess that I could do it that way if I can't figure out how to wire it to the mirror wiring. I have a C6 Corvette and use the same V1 in it and was able to use a short (12" or so) "Invisicord" from the V1 to the mirror wiring and it is a very clean looking installation. I had hoped to do the same with the Fusion but since the wiring to the mirror is not visible, it is not as easy to do it the same way.
  2. I have a 2013 Fusion Titanium and would like to hard wire my Valentine 1 radar detector for a cleaner installation. My car has the "box/enclosure" in front of the rear view mirror (maybe for the camera) so I can't see any of the 12v wiring to the mirror. The V1 is mounted via a Blendmount just below the mirror. Has anyone tried to hard wire a detector (with a '13 or '14 Fusion) with the box in front of the rear view mirror?
  3. I took the car to the dealer today to have the dealer installed software recommendation from SyncMyRide to update the Sync software even though it confirmed that I already had 3.6.2 installed. The service adviser said that they tried to update the software but couldn't do it because my car already has the latest update. I think SyncMyRide has a glitch in it that sending us these update recommendations even though we have already performed that upgrade.
  4. I checked Sync My Ride and it is also telling me that I have a dealer installed software update that is due even though I already updated to 3.6.2 a week ago or so. I ran a VHR and it didn't clear it, so I made an appointment on line to take it in for this update since I already have an appointment for them to try and fix the speaker buzz/vibration issue this week.
  5. This bug doesn't bother me too much as I can't tell any sound quality improvement in "surround" mode vs. just in stereo mode.
  6. Hopefully, they will fix that bug in the next update.
  7. I can confirm that when streaming BT stereo music from my HTC One, the song title and the artist name show up on the MFT screen both in the Home position and when in the Entertainment mode. :happy feet:
  8. I just installed the update yesterday and am happy to say that now my HTC One will transfer text messages to Sync when before the update, it would not do that. :happy feet:
  9. I have a 2 year old Motorola Atrix running Android 2.3.6 and the Bluetooth audio connection with MFT is a hit or miss process. Sometimes it connects and stays connected properly but other times, I have to fiddle with it to get BT music audio from my phone through the cars speakers. Other times it will be playing fine and then it will just pause itself and I have to hit the play button again. The upside is that it has always been 100% reliable on the phone connections when making and receiving phone calls. I have my music files also on a MP3 player that I have connected to the USB port and that works great. I also listen to audiobooks and connect those from the headphone jack on the player to the A/V Input via a Y plug adapter. I have the Waze app on my phone and I would really like to have a reliable BT connection in order to hear the traffic warnings from Waze while driving. That is my main complaint with MFT.
  10. Thank you for the pics and the explanation on the car dock mounting location for your phone. I have my Atrix dock mounted in the same location but haven't figured out how to hide the cord yet. My car dock uses a straight (non coiled) cord so I have to leave a loop of extra cord length to allow for the door to open all the way. I really like that location for the car dock but am a little concerned if the suction cup might pull (or buckle) aftermarket window tint (which I plan to have done later this week).
  11. Beautiful pics!! I was going to go with that same color as I like it best but my Corvette is just about the same color, so I decided to go with white just to mix it up a little.
  12. Has anyone tried the Opti-Coat Pro (Opti-Guard) paint protectant bonding material? My detail guy is recommending it and says it's a permanent coating.
  13. Ouch!! Maybe the stock 18" wheels don't look so bad after all.
