  1. For car noise issues, turning the radio up is always my first response! (lol) I didn't hear it as much this weekend with the roof open, tho. I actually didn't hear it today until I hit 65 mph. Maybe i just need to train it.
  2. Ok, one whole day driving. Sorry, I can't figure out why I can't post pictures here. I'm getting this really unusual low-pitched hum when I hit 45 mph. It's definitely coming from the Left front (passengers') side. I thought it was tire noise at first, but then it seemed more central. I remember someone saying something about the air flow and the front grill. . . It was windy today (but it is every day in the evening. We're headed to Carmel this weekend, so we'll have plenty of time to experiment. It has to go back in for the permaplating, etc., next week (I hope). But I'd appreciate thoughts. And a reminder on how to post pictures for heaven's sake.
  3. IT'S HERE. IT'S IN MY DRIVEWAY! pix tomorrow.
  4. OMG. so last time I posted, the car was in Benicia, CA, approx, 25 min drive from my residence. The salesman called me and asked my permission (last Friday, the 19th) to have someone go and drive it to Santa Rosa, about 50 miles, to the dealership. I said, yes, especially if it was going to get there faster! We had an appointment all set up for last evening, to pick up the car, etc. . . I received a call from the salesman at 5 pm last night, on my way to the appointment (by way of San Francisco). He wanted to reschedule our appointment for tonight, as the driver apparently picked up something pointy with a tire on the way from Benicia to Santa Rosa. They had to order a new tire, which is supposed to come today, and it will be ready tonight. Oh, and by the way, this is all at "no cost to you." Damn skippy! I haven't even SEEN the car yet. I better see that little brown box as well and not have to ask for it! And I am going to make sure that they give me the $1000 and I'm pushing for the $750 as well. . . Hope I have pictures tomorrow. But don't hold your breath.
  5. YOU GO! Congratulations. I found out that my car has been sitting in the railcar in Benecia, a town literally 30 minutes away, since the 16th! Estimated delivery is the 24th!!!????! Honestly. I know that this the delivery issue now, but this is so ridiculous.
  6. OK, perhaps TODAY will be the last request! VIN # 3LN6L2LU9DR808795
  7. I had these for my 2003 Honda CRV (which, as you know, I am STILL driving!) Loved it for the back seat. The kids, the dog, the spills. . . whip it out, hose it off, let it dry quick and back it goes. For the front, not so good. I found the edges became misshapen, and hard because of the additional use/abuse. But, as I said, if you have kids or messy adults, they're great. I'm sure the trunk liner would be fabulous. I'm not sure yet what I'll get for the new car. I obviously still have time to search (boo hiss  )
  8. Hopefully this will be my last request, cyberdman. Thank you so much for your patience. VIN # 3LN6L2LU9DR808795
  9. It's beautiful, George. I was close to getting that burgandy color.
  10. Just received an email from the sales person: Kim, Thank you sooooo much for being patient with your new Lincoln. Great news, it's made it to California! Hopefully only a few days out. I have been checking every other day. What's next week look like for you schedulewise? God, I hope he's right. Pat in LCS told me that she was escalating it, but I never expected this. Hoepfully a new updated ETA, and I did ask for a railcar number! choo, choo kwb
  11. My oldest daughter is frequently reminding me that I NEED the lane keeper, "you did buy it, right? 'cause you really need it." Ah the wisdom of a 20 year old who has been driving all of 2 years! and took one psychology class. So, as my staff so nicely reminded me, as soon as my car shows up on 4.24.13, I will be moving into it. This has been quite a long 4 months . . . kim
  12. I usually order my mats custom through AutoSports. They have some nice all weather (albeit PLASTIC) mats that are great for the back seat with the kids. I'd just pull it out and hose it down. I haven't priced them yet, but they have a really quick turn around time. Of course, my MKZ will not allow children in it. I have teenaged twin girls. . . no more makeup application, no more breakfast, no more JUNK in my back seat. The all weather mat is still heavily used, despite their "advanced" age.
  13. Received a call from LCS. . . my car has begun the "process" of transporting to it's final destination. . . still in the parking lot in Mexico, but apparently closer to the rail car? Anyway, I was told an ETA of 4/24/13. I won't have another update until until 4/22/13. There you have it. I wish it had gone to Michigan. . . it would have been here sooner. Congrats to all who have the new car in their possession. kim
  14. I'm within driving distance of Fairfield, but they didn't have anything last time I checked. But i'll look now!
  15. No word yet. I'd figure I'd wait until this afternoon CA time to call LCS again and see if there's an update. If you all are getting your cars delivered, I can't believe that mine isn't far behind. Tho it seems like all youall's went up to Michigan while mine was smart and stayed in Mexico. . .
