I saw no option to post a new topic so I think this may go here. I have a 2006 Ford Fusion. Lost power in acceleration. Transmission-fine. Fuel line, egr valve, and even catalytic converter check out. Turns out to be the throttle assembly pedal. A year ago my mechanic replaced the WHOLE assembly and now it's just this one part that overheats and has an automatic safety shut off. It has been on national re-order since this occurred over a month ago. The Ford parts dealer where the throttle was order from informs me it may be till May 2014 until this part comes in. In the meantime I have to rent a car out to go around mountain roads and long distance to avoid the inconvenience of having to let the throttle pedal cool down. Is there a recall on this? I have searched the net and seen a recall on some of the newer models parts. Seeing as it's a newer part and not something from 1995 one would think Ford would have it in it's parts warehouse.
