The current one is like that. I can almost guarantee without seeing it in person they did that on purpose so they could use the same bodyside panel. Pretty common with refreshes actually.- 3

No hybrid which is kind of interesting
I don’t think it was a strong seller. I can only recall seeing maybe 2 or 3 since it’s been out. -

I think it has to do with the perceived lack of refinement of Bronco. While I like mine, there are definitely some things that I think could be improved at the upper pricepoints especially. These limitations don't appeal to those that don't want a more rugged type vehicle.
That makes perfect sense. -

If the Everest ever did come here they would have to build it at your plant since it’s basically a Ranger SUV.
yeah I have no idea how that would work. Space is tight to begin with. -

Everest with 2.7 or 3.0 would work well as an Edge ST alternative. But I don’t see enough factory space for it.
Agreed. So many people miss the old BOF Explorer and don’t want a Bronco for whatever reason. I think it could do really well.- 1

Guys , this is basically what the maverick is. Sure, some people need an enclosed cargo area, but that's what camper shells are for.
Ive seen a couple of Mavericks with camper tops on them. It doesn’t look that bad. -
I love that channel. They have some of the most interesting car content on YouTube. I love their engine build series, that guy who does them really knows his stuff. I wish they would do more of them.

Man, how do they handle working 2 day shift and 2 overnights? That has to mentally/physically screw up your body and sleep patterns.
I didn’t find it to be all that bad most weeks. Mondays usually sucked but it was also 10 years ago and I could handle the copious amounts of energy drinks back then. Sunday wasn’t all bad, I would just force myself to stay up as late as I could Saturday night and sleep as late as I could Sunday morning then lay down for about an hour or two in the afternoon before I had to get ready for work. -

Plus Saturday night and most of Sunday. I expect the differential pay is a lot higher?
When I was on c crew the shift premium was 10 percent. It changed with the 2015 contract and it’s been tweaked since then. I would have to read what the current contract says but I’m pretty sure Monday is the big money day.- 1

Wow, C crew has to suck! Day shift two days, 24 hours off, then night shift two days? Yuck!
I was on it my first 2 years at MAP. Loved it. It’s nice having a 3 day weekend in the middle of the week to be able to actually get stuff done without having to burn personal time.- 3

The article said 3 crews on 2 shifts......how does that work?......or is it a mis-quote.
A crew will work day shift Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pmB Crew works night shift Tuesday-Friday 6pm-4:30am
C crew is day shift Friday & Saturday (6am-4:30pm) and night shift Sunday & Monday (6pm-4:30am)

We knew this was coming, it was in the contract. That said I still don’t know how the hell it’s going to work when running 2 shifts last year was a struggle.

What Farley really means is any vehicle without good margins of 10% or better are going away. Because less than 10% is boring to investors…..

Not completely true. My wife nicknamed her 2020 Escape Karen. She could be a real b*$ch with all her sensors going off when there appeared to be no need! LOL!
That’s what I call the cross traffic alert whenever it goes off when I’m backing down the driveway and it goes off when it senses the house- 2

Oh please. Comparing Autocross enthusiasts to NASCAR, NHRA, IMSA and LeMans racing enthusiasts is like comparing a canoe to an aircraft carrier.
Not to mention the whole “Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday” thing hasn’t really been a thing since the 70s.- 1

I saw a couple of videos on what I believe is the subject you are talking about. There is a TSB on a secondary drum having an issue with a bearing/bushing, I don't recall which. The updated drum fixes the issue.
Only way to tell is to have a dealer look up the history on the VIN.
The videos only described "odd shifts". They didn't give much detail on symptoms. It applies to all 10 speeds, Ranger, F150, Explorer. I don't recall the date Ford switched to using the new drum in new vehicles.
I haven’t seen the TSB in person to be able to read it but a video I saw on the subject said 2023 and older 10R60 and 10R80 transmissions. -

Ford should have a big cost advantage over GM with fewer brands and models, but they piss away that advantage by not being able to build enough popular products fast enough and by taking too long to get new things out the door due to limited resources. And higher warranty costs. They should have either continued with the 3rd Mexico plant or rebuilt Flat Rock and brought C2 edge and nautilus to Oakville giving them 3 C2 plants and a lot more options.
It’s looking more and more to me like Jim Hackett did more long term damage to the company than some of us previously thought.- 6

Are dealers just clearing their lots of remaining Edges, or is it experiencing a bit of a resurgence in popularity?
They had massive incentive on them at the end of the year. $8500 worth which is more than the $7500 F-150 had on it. -

What’s the holdup with Ranger production taking off? I honestly haven’t heard any excuse since the strike ended.
I don’t know exactly. I’ve heard a bunch of rumors but nothing concrete enough to share.

High interest rates and inability to lease certain models doesn’t help. Literally yesterday I just bought out the lease on my Fusion and got a 6.4 percent from my CU and I feel incredibly lucky I got that. Even my sales rep was amazed.
