I don't know where you are from, but my 2005 Freestar Limited only has about 13,500 miles on it and is like new. The lease is up this month.

I have the roof mounted one in my Freestar, it does block rear visibility, but it doesn't bother me.

Thanks! Just strange that Ford would actually show that picture on their site when it's a dealer installed option. I'd rather the roof mounted one because it will be easier for the kids in the 3rd row to see the screen.

Speaking of DVD headrests, the website shows the rear seat DVD entertainment with a picture next to it that shows the screens in the head rests. But I could have sworn I saw one on the lot with the roof mounted single DVD screen.

The EL is what I wanted the most until the Flex came out.

That is exactly what we did and for the same exact reason haha. I have a 5 yo, 4 yo and 2 yo.

When did you order and did you get it yet? I like the dark interior simple because it looks sharp and the kids will have a harder time getting it to dirty. :shades:

Thanks. We were considering either the Expedition, Yukon or Tahoe, something in that large group, but they are too large and too expensive. The minute I drove the Flex, I knew it was what I wanted. It drives better then any other vehicle I have ever driven. The quality in and out is great as well. Not like any other Ford product, except the new MKS.

What is a family of 5 supposed to do with a small car? That's why we are replacing our crappy gas mileage Freestar with a FLEX. We need room to breathe. It was far from 40k. Not everyone is going to get a limited AWD model. I have a focus, it's quality, great on gas and I would NEVER be able to use that for my family. It's a work commuter vehicle.

After trying to locate one for a few weeks, we had to end up ordering the one we wanted. Redfire FWD SEL w/ black interior. Options: DVD, White roof, chrome roof rails. Can't wait to get it. Dealer said 8 weeks for delivery. :boring:

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard! I want it and need it and I'm ordering an SEL. So just because you don't want or need it, no one does? Get a life dude.

I saw a new Sable on the turnpike here in NJ this morning. I do not like the tail-lights.....they look too much like cheap clear replacement lights that the ricers used to put on their civics a few years back.
