  1. I am in sales at a Ford dealership and also looking to find out the real numbers. We have conflicting information and I'm not sure what to tell the customer? Canadian Brochure for pickup models (does not include Cab&Chassis): - 350hp/650 ft lbs on all models except F450 pickup with 6 spd and F450 pickup with auto/4.88 axle. Our Ford Order Guide: - Pickups same as CDN brochure - Cab & Chassis all 350/650, no detuned models Ford product info sheet: -350/650 on F250/F350 pickups -325/600 on F450 pickup and F450/F550 chassis cabs There seems to be a lot of inconsistency here. Brian
  2. The dealer is correct. We are nearing the end of 2007 model year production. The new 2008 Super Duty starts production after Christmas. True Blue, Dark Satin Green, and Dark Toreador Red have all balanced out for the year. Brian
  3. We have a customer that stopped by yesterday. 1997 F150 S/C XL 4.2L V6 5 Speed One owner truck 691,000 km (430,000 miles) Engine and transmission original (I think the rear diff was done once) Brakes done for the first time at 375,000km, must be just about due again Average fuel mileage over life of truck (mostly highway, some towing) 22 mpg Canadian (18.5 mpg US) Brian
  4. But it's amazing how much junk those pollen filters keep out of the heater system. After a year or two they are often full of leaves and dirt. However it is important to change them because as they get plugged the performance of the climate control system is affected. Brian
  5. I found pictures of a car listed on Ebay. For anyone else who is wondering, the link is GT/CS on Ebay Brian
  6. I would like to know where the Dove/Camel accents are placed on the interior of the California Special. Would someone who has a GT/CS mind describing theirs? Thanks, Brian
  7. It doesn't cost anything to go get a quote, but remember the fine print at the bottom (Offer not combinable with any other offer/discount. On select models with approved credit). Basically it's a sales gimmick. They are likely selling the vehicle for full MSRP, and then using any available rebates and the normal spread between the cash price and MSRP to cover off remaining lease payments, excess wear/tear, excess mileage, etc. The "On Select Models" part comes in because certain cars like the Fusion have basically no rebates and a small margin between the cash price and retail so on a Fusion they would not be able to cover a lot of payments, excess mileage, etc. On the other hand a Super Duty has a pretty large spread between cash and retail so it makes it easier. This can be done at any time by any dealer. It's not really a "sale". Brian
  8. I didn't find the link at the bottom of the page that you are talking about, but I went to roadmaster-tow-bars.com. They didn't list brackets for an '06 Explorer so I guess we'll just have to give them a call. Brian
  9. Hello, Just wondering if anyone has installed front tow hooks on a 2006 Explorer yet? We have a customer that is buying an '06 Explorer Limited and wants to tow it "4 wheel down" behind his motorhome and needs the tow hooks to hook onto it. Until '05 they could be installed. Any suggestions on an '06? I see there is a "recovery hook" available, but that is just one and is mounted further back on the crossmember. What we are looking for is a way to mount a hook like on an '05. Brian
  10. We now have our first ones in stock. The price is exactly the same for 5.5' or 6.5' (at least in Canada, maybe different in the US). Brian
  11. For some reason Ford decided to offer Screaming Yellow for the first half of the 2006 model year, and Silver would replace it for the second half. This was planned right from the beginning of the model year. I don't know what the reasoning would be. Brian
