  1. Oh, seems like they updated the site. When I previously checked, the SE Luxury package didn't include the LED lamps. But now, it does! Thanks for the info
  2. I believe the soft ceramic leather is more comfortable and luxurious than the SE leather. The Titanium also gets factory fitted dynamic LED headlamps. On the SE you'll need to go aftermarket if you want better lamps.
  3. That's the thing, I set in a route and the guidance failed to show in the centre display. I was also expecting the display to show your current street and direction if no route is set in - guess the Escape doesn't do that. My sister lives on the other side of the continent, so I don't have access to the car myself anymore (was only in town for a week and now am back home), but I'll tell her to try again.
  4. My sister is the proud owner of a new 2015 Escape Titanium fully loaded (minus moonroof, she has zero use for it :P). The screen in the dashboard between the tachometer and speedometer is capable of showing the next GPS turn while driving. I enable this by going to Settings->Display and selecting Navigation, using the left D-pad on the steering wheel. However, every time the car is shut off, the navigation option is automatically de-selected. I have to dig back into the settings and enable it every time I start the car. I've owned a 2013 Fusion Hybrid with nav for over a year now, so I am quite experienced with MyFordTouch for the most part. However, in the Escape it's a little different because there's only one screen in the dashboard whereas the Fusion has 2 screens, so I'm slightly lost there. This is quite bewildering and frustrating. Does anyone know how to force this to always be on?
  5. Congrats on getting an awesome replacement. I guess you're ok with the severely compromised trunk? I'd love an Energi but the only way I'd buy one would be if Ford made a wagon version (they have the Mondeo Estate in Europe but it has no hybrid or energi variant sadly). If you turned off the car before opening the door, the MFT system would shut itself off, so I'm guessing that's why the 911 assist did not work.
  6. Do you know if it's possible to "plug" the holes and then paint over them in such a way that they're invisible unless you look really close? My sister is interested in buying a used Titanium but would prefer not to have the spoiler, which unfortunately is present on 100% of the listings she's seen.
  7. Hey man, it's machoman1337 your fellow Canuck here from the Hybrid forum. I remember seeing your car personally IRL when I was still a student in downtown TO and noticing how awesome your license plate was when you were driving on College St. Yeah, Toronto taxi drivers are total savages at times... doesn't help that many of them emigrate from countries where traffic "laws" are the exception rather than the norm. Most TO drivers (to me) are relatively polite, better than their Vancouver counterparts, but cab and bus drivers ruin everything! Real sorry to see what happened to your car. On the plus side, you did post a lot about problems you had with the car (you ordered one of the earliest models to roll off the line!), and since your insurance reimbursed you, you can get a newer car that lacks all those issues! You probably learned a lesson my dad learned 15 years ago - never buy ANY brand new car that's in the first batch of production. Give it at least half a year for issues to get corrected before more cars roll off the assembly line. My Fusion was bought preowned but wasn't built quite as early as the one you lost, and it's been problem-free so far. That means that if you buy a new '15/'16 FFH or even a used '14, you should have a lot of peace of mind when it comes to reliability as most of the early kinks were ironed out. If you really like the Tuxedo black colour, consider a certified pre-owned 2014 FFH maybe? I looked on autotrader and Markville Ford (where I bought my own FFH!) is selling this: http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/Ford/Fusion/Unionville/Ontario/5_23638207_ON20080123130132070/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=6_15_7 As for Lexus being ugly... the ES300h isn't nice? C'mon :P P.S. are you keeping the license plate?
