  1. I believe Chrysler workers lost guaranteed time and a half and double time pay for Saturday and Sunday. They are now getting it back.
  2. What the consumers want at $1.50 a gallon is not what they want at $4.50. If markets could be perfectly predicted we wouldn't have recessions. Ask a few Nobel Economic Laureates how hard it is model the market. We will always have cycles in this industry. Hopefully, they are getting better at managing them but we will see. How are hybrids looking after years of growth?
  3. Before 94 it was a 90day grow in.
  4. Tier 2 no one would be stuck at bottom percentage. I want to remind you tier 1 would not see a raise them for 16 yrs. Also, any raise we don't get is one you can never make it up to. I like the 8 yr with wages moving up to start. I'd like to see 6 with Ford. The wages would tighten in scale hopefully higher to start.
  5. I've been reading this forum a long time. Great to hear from all the people that work at the "beloved" Blue Oval. I just wanted to chime in on different unions with tiers. Before I started at Ford I worked for a school district in the MEA. They had several pays for the same work depending on time served. Also my wife, sister, and brother in law are in the MEA. Each has taken several years to reach top pay. The CAW went from a 3yr to 6yr and now 10yr scale to top pay. Also the UAW this spring negotiated a 6yr plan at Lear. I guess my question goes out mostly to two tier. I'd like to know. What system do you think is fair?
