  1. But it is true, Lincoln is afraid to launch anything RWD-biased right now, because they know what's gonna happen is, what's gonna happen is it will be compared to the ATS, 3 series, C class, XE, IS, etc all of which have a dedicated RWD-bias platform....... even if the Continental was brought out in RWD form, it wouldn't compare to or it would get abused by the media in comparison to CT6, S-class, 7-series, XJ, LS, A8 etc..... I've stated current Lincoln is an improvement, but I base a lot more of my car buying on how comfortable the seats are, colors, rims, and a stereo..... CD4 is not a great platform.... better than CD3, but not better than the competition. That's also a problem, everything should not be RWD V8 powered.... There should be a cheap sedan that shares common architecture with a cheap Ford, with small fuel efficient engines or electric, and there also needs to be RWD-bias V8 powered sport sedan, and a RWD-bias V16 Town Car......
  2. I'm sorry, but that last sentence is confusing, which replies from me are sarcastic? Every reply in reference to me seemingly is demeaning or sarcastic. If they come off that way, then I'm sorry you're reading them and interpreting them that way. I'm typing what I'm thinking as if I'm face to face with you talking amongst friends, that is all.
  3. Fuzzy, what do you have to back up that I'm wrong? Lincoln is in no way shape or form in a good state, the sales are crap still.... I don't think you know as much as portray, you simply work in a Ford factory, so does my uncle, big deal, good for you, it's a job, we all have them. You can't even say when the next gen Mustang is planned to arrive, what's up with that, man?
  4. It's funny, some schmuk is selling a brand new Continental Reserve for $99,900, he must be on acid..... I'll give him $50k and a pack of smokes......
  5. You see Cadillac had been doing what Lincoln is doing, and then they learned that Chevy copies aren't going to cut it if you want to sell premium luxury vehicles at $70k.
  6. True it was his goal, and while I would buy a Lincoln before Lexus in Lincoln's worst day, Lexus is simply better, they have a better portfolio..... Alan also wanted to cancel Lincoln, which would've been a huge mistake. Obviously he didn't know how to create a "Lexus"..... I can't say the same about Cadillac with Johan de Nysschen.....
  7. 2020.... you heard it here first.... it's going to be the next big launch after the Aviator.... it will share the platform with the Mustang and will have a sedan version as well.....
  8. They absolutely have a coupe..... the problem is they are too reserved and are afraid to produce it, because it probably will get shredded up by Cadillac and the German's....... it would need a superior ride and design to the ATS and superior interior quality and superior powertrain, something Ford isn't capable of at this time.... That's just my opinion, except for the beginning, they absolutely have a coupe in Dearborn, that's a guarantee, that's probably what David Woodhouse has been playing with, besides the Navigator and Aviator.
  9. A Taurus will absolutely get better MPG than any CUV/SUV, people who an Edge Explorer or Expedition aren't going to a Fiesta or Focus, they will be buying smaller SUV's or large sedans.....
  10. Yes that's what every other premium luxury company has said.... if it's not RWD-bias, it is definitely inferior and crap. The only brand that is exceptional that seems to have a similar brand model to Lincoln is Volvo.....
  11. 2006 far surpassed a 2000, sorry, but even Ford has admitted that, everyone knows it...... the 2006 is what the 2000 should've been in the first place.
  12. My response was in response to his comment that I have no clue what I'm talking about, because he owned a 2000 Lincoln LS V8 and is a member of the original Lincoln LS Club.... well sir, I got news for you, my 2006 eats your 2000 for breakfast lunch and dinner, just like COP's.... ????
  13. no never said that either..... I respect everyone's opinion and expect the same in return, even though that's not the case 99% of the time on this forum.... Which is why a handful of members leave, including myself who just returned this past week from months ago, because of all the negativity stemming from a select few, core group of members. And honestly I respect that, it's nice to support your brand no matter what forever and they can do no wrong, it's like Democrats supporting Hillary Clinton for President. I'm a different person from that, I look at all aspects of the industry, all the manufacturers.... I have no brand allegiance to Ford or GM, I'm just pro American and nothing from Dodge/Chrysler unless it's a Hellcat..... I use to love the 300, before taking away AWD with the HEMI and the lack of a premium interior and small rear seat.
  14. That's funny we owned both a 2002 Lincoln LS 3.0 V6 and I own personally a 2006 Lincoln LS 3.9 V8 premium..... I know the car well, I could take it apart and put it back together in my driveway.... I know all it's little quibbles and I know what makes it happy.....
  15. I don't see the need for hostility sir..... I've never called for them bring out a 2006 Lincoln LS and put it into full production in 2016..... you honestly think the 2016/17 MY lineup is great and a true competitor on every level with the world? I think the LS was excellent for its time and place, I thought the same for the Town Car.... the last Continental was trash, the Blackwood, Aviator, Navigator, it was all trash in one way or another. Ford never seems to provide their brands with enough capital to have a whole portfolio that is cohesive and the best...... If Lincoln comes out with a Lincoln LS in 2020 or whenever it happens, RWD-biased AWD highly advanced platform highly advanced suspension and a premium ultra interior with a striking RWD proportioned exterior, and let me not forget the powertrain, a 10-spd auto with a 4.0TT V8 for the high trim level..... it would absolutely sell better than the MKZ, and they should make it so it shares a vast amount of the high cost parts with the Mustang and other Lincoln's.
  16. The Zephyr/MKZ in no shape way or form was better than the LS..... sorry all it was was cheaper to make
  17. Why would I want a cheap interior and a trash platform/performance in 2016 standards? If I wanted that I'd save some money and just buy a Mustang.....
  18. No I've never said bring back the 2006 Lincoln LS..... I said make a true LS successor with the same basic concept but in a modern sense....
  19. And I don't think the MKZ suspension something special.... The LS suspension can be enhanced through the aftermarket..... I never said they should take that 5th grade level designed car that I could've designed in th womb and bring it in 2017
  20. I'd rather have a 3.9 V8 with 280hp and 286lb ft of torque and RWD than a FWD 3.0TTV6 350hp and 400lb ft torque with torque steer galour and a plain interior... The 3.9 V8 can make that power easily.....
