16GTCS

Has anyone had paint issues? I have a 16 GTCS in competition orange. I have a spot on the decklid below the spoiler. Its about 2-3 inches wide and it's dull. Sort of looks like over spray or a spot they missed when sanding? Once I take it out of winter storage it will be going back to the dealer.

Thanks for the replies. I checked the menu and nothing there. I guess it's just kind of sensitive. Seems to only happen when you have to stand close to reach all the way in to the back.

I have a 17 Explorer with the automatic lift gate. Is there a way to turn that feature off for closing? I like being able to open it that way, but while putting items in the back it keeps closing on me. Any ideas? It's kind of hard not to move your feet while loading items....

It took 8 weeks from order to delivery. Ford told me 8-16 when I placed the order. While it was agonizing (LOL) I'm glad it wasnt the 16 weeks!

Prolly something I did when uploading. It took me forever to figure out that I had to add it to my gallery before it would allow me to post it in the forum.

Went and signed all the paperwork last night. I get to go pick it up today once they have detailed it. Salesman kinda got in trouble for calling me before it was even in their computer system. LOL Trying to figure out how to upload a pic.

HAHA! I saw that yesterday on tv and that was my first thought.

Completely understand...Its been a long two months for me...and its still not over! Atleast the weather here has gotten colder again. When we were having the 75 degree and sunny days it just made the waiting worse.

I would have thought this would be that way. It just hasn't left the plant yet. I'm going to be in Detroit in about 3 weeks, maybe I can just swing by and pick it up!

Stripping didnt take but a few days on mine. The hold up has been shipping. Mine has been completed since 3/14. Unless there is some hold on it that I am unaware of. (hope not)

Yea, I threw it up over there. Figured one of them would get me some info. I'm trying to coordinate the install of a Roush exhaust and hood scoop with the arrival of my car. They are going to put it all on before I pick it up. I just don't want to drop all of those parts off to the dealer too long before the car arrives. Things have a way of getting lost... Congrats on the build date! Now the anticipation builds! LOL

What did you order? GT, ECO, V6? I went with a GT vert with the California Special Package. Tried like hell to find a dealer that had one instead of ordering. The only ones that I could find near me were black. Figured it was worth the wait to get what I want and not settle. This forum has been a big help as my dealer and FoMoCo customer service have been limited in the information they will share.

1/6/16 - Mine was built on 3/8 and sent out for stripes, but it has been back and awaiting shipping since 3/14. Obviously I'm like a little kid at Christmas and can't wait for it to get here.

How is it possible that my dealer has a 16 Mustang sitting on their lot that was built after mine, and mine is still sitting at FRAP? Weird.....

They didn't say that putting those on would totally void my warranty. What he said was that if there was a problem it would void the warranty for that issue. In other words, if I put this exhaust on and I have some sort of exhaust issue they would refuse to pay because I added the modded part. Does that sound right? I would really like to add a CAI to the car, but that worries me even more since there are multiple things that could be effected. Just a little worried about spending a hefty amount on a new car then doing something that screws up the warranty if there is any issue down the line.

I went with axel back exhaust as my first mod. I'm a little afraid of doing too may mods since many of them effect the warranty. My dealer will be installing the new exhaust for me and has already warned me that if there are any issues that could be caused my replacing the exhaust that Ford would deny that warranty service. I figured exhaust was the safest of the mods I could do. I'm going with a Roush exhaust but asked about the warranty if I went with a Ford Racing part to see if the response would change, it did not. They told me that both would be considered aftermarket and could void warranty coverage on that component.

Wouldnt a four door version basically be a Fusion??

The cotus site doesn't work. Ford customer service told me that once I had a VIN it would, I've had a VIN for three weeks and my car is completely built and still not showing on the site at all.
