Same problem with my 2009 Mercury Milan on both the driver and passenger door handles. They started peeling at the same time. Razor-like pieces.

Earlier this year, both the driver and passenger door handles on our 2009 Mercury Milan peeled and sliced our fingers. Painful. I had to wrap the handles with little sleeves made out of a brown paper sack. Didn't want to use tape because of the possibility of stickiness during the summer. And now just this week the interior driver door handle broke. From what I've read online, these problems are extremely common on the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan. Google it. There should have been a recall on these handle issues!!!!
