Does Ford own the trademark rights to Cobra?

Zero interest for me. I know too many people who have been seriously injured and nearly killed riding motorcycles through no fault of their own. One couple I know each lost limbs because someone was driving on the wrong side of the road and forced them off the highway. Another was hit by someone while he was waiting at a red light. Flew 50 feet across a parking lot, shattered his pelvis had a serious concussion, broke his leg in 3 places. He still can’t walk right almost 10 years later. People drive like absolute morons and it’s not getting any better.Somebody I knew from high school got killed at a red light. He was 23. I think he was engaged, too. There's more important things in life than risking your life on one of those things.

The era of cheap money appears to be coming to an end so it will be interesting to see how they adjust.

This is an actual sketch for the bronco. But if they gave it slightly softer, more elegant surfacing like that sketch has, a fixed roof with a much nicer interior and vastly improved NVH, this thing would be awesome. A Lincoln g-wagon rival that started at like 70-80 grand instead of the 130 or whatever the g starts at would make a killing on the market.
This looks pretty good. Bronco meets the personal luxury car. I think using some 60s Continental cues would look very appropriate. Also a retractable glass roof is a must. It needs to be seen as something other than a budget G wagon though.

Surprised Volvo is not on the list.

They really shouldn't have used the Lightning name for the electric model. The electric counterpart doesn't need a quirky name/nomenclature attached to it. So silly.

We need a third centrist party, one that takes ideas from both parties where it benefits us, like conservatives generally caring more about border security, but liberals caring more about clean energy and taking care of the environment. Just a few examples of how one party can take all those positions and then some.
That's pretty much what the Republican Party used to be about generations ago prior to Reagan. In retrospect, I think the demise of the WASP establishment has been a huge loss for the country. They weren't perfect, but they had a sense of duty and stewardship that's so incredibly rare among the current political class.

A hypothetical Lincoln variant doesn't necessarily have to have a unique body as the Mustang's surface language can pass a Lincoln. A unique front and rear clip would do the job just fine.
The Mustang's proportions are absolutely perfect for a Mark coupe. Interestingly, the proportions of the original Mustang were inspired by the Continental Mark II.

This mystery sedan should be built on CD6 chassis for amortization reasons.
Ideally, so should the Mustang.
Related: I saw an Aviator today and admired how nice it looked. It would be a real shame if they ditched CD6.

I still think a Lincoln sedan makes far more sense than a Mustang sedan
But should it be a generic sports sedan or something special like a CLS-like Mark IX 4-door coupe?

I own an Expedition and absolutely hate driving it on roads with narrow lanes and narrow shoulders. Also, parking it is not fun. Other than that, it's a comfortable vehicle to drive.
With that being said, I'm getting ready to order an M340i as my new daily. lol

I think the Mustang will need to reinvent itself too not be just a niche player in the future. Of course the coupe and convertible should always be retained, but other variants are needed.
1. Hatch or shooting break
2. Off-road version like the Huracan Sterrato or 911 Dakar
3. Bring back a Shelby above the Dark Horse
4. The "Mustang sedan" should be its own model. Call it Falcon, Fairlane, whatever. However, it would likely need a wagon model to increase global sales for the model.
Totally agree with your last point. A new Falcon or whatever would be a much more practical offering than a Mustang fastback sedan.

Wish they would offer something more interesting other than those $8k "special edition" black-painted wheels and roof packages.
-
Not bad. I would seriously consider this.
-
This looks pretty decent. I wish it didn't have the unnecessary "Bronco" decal though.
-
The heritage colors clash with the black plastic - very hokey on a modern vehicle.

Oof. It looks like I'll be keeping my 2021 for a while.

Chinese market is a whole different ballgame for Lincoln. Lincoln ain't a moribund geezer brand over there like it is in the US, that's why Ford gives it more attention in China
Unfortunately, I don't think there's anything they can do about that. The segments that traditionally elevated a brand's image no longer sell as well as they used to. They're pretty much stuck with crossovers.

I used to check the Autoblog.com site several times a day to see what updated information they had related to Ford and/or Lincoln. Their information was often late related to other sites but still worth checking. Unfortunately, with the ownership change and the reformatted website, it's now difficult to consider the site a valuable source with its less content, poor navigation, etc.
UX no longer seems to matter anymore.

Not sure I agree with the very last part, but the rest of it is very believable-esp with some of the stuff you see on social media with the election.
Ive seen some shit that makes me go wtf
My Facebook feed is full of "recommended" posts that are all AI. The images that I see are so unsettling. lol
The golden age of the web is sadly over.

So why don't we make everyone wear a bubble wrap suit with deployable airbags at all times while walking around?
Like a lot of the new crash tests, at a certain point, you can't design for every single scenario....and cars are only going to get more and more expensive trying.
And uglier.

That was one of the main features I wanted in it.....basically allows for a convertible SUV (even if having the removable hardtop is more difficult to remove). That said, I can understand others wanting a fixed roof.
The disadvantages of a removable top aren't worth it for me considering the few nice weather days we get here.

2006-2010 IMO looked great. 2002-2005 I wasn't crazy about the front end on it, too generic IMO same with the Expedition.
The Taurus/D4 based Explorers I am not crazy about either they look way too chunky. The current I think looks great but the new 2025 one's grill I am not crazy about, I don't like how it gets wider towards the bottom or at least gives the visual impression it gets wider at the bottom.
Though for me personally I think the 06-10 Mountaineer looked the best out of all of them. I loved Mercury's sharp headlights and grill during that era. I also loved the clear taillights. I just wish it got a more upscale interior vs just a different colored Explorer interior.
I had a 2009 Eddie Bauer. I loved it except for the cheap interior, which I thought was a downgrade from the 2002-2005 model. Yeah, I would have gotten a Mountaineer had it had a better interior.
