  1. Hey everyone, A few months ago I bought a 2006 Focus ZXW SE. While I haven't spent a whole lot of time driving this car I did want to put together an episode of my show on it. I doubt there are many modern reviews on the Mk1 Focus so I hope this helps people who might be interested in buying one of these today. I discuss some of the differences between the North American and European spec models and what you should consider if you're in the market for one of these in 2020.
  2. Hey everyone, Last week I had the chance to spend a week with the 2020 Ford Fusion Titanium Plug-In Hybrid, as I brought it up on an earlier episode of my show where we discussed all the sedans killed off for 2020 in the US and Canada. I knew I needed to get into this one since PHEVs are popular and it had been a while since I drove a Fusion. Here's the link to the episode: https://youtu.be/JuBpgynYP7o It's unfortunate that Ford decided to kill the Fusion, there was serious potential for the plug-in to continue on with improvements to make it competitive against something like the Honda Clarity. As a side note, does anyone know the official reason Ford semi-dropped the Energi branding for 2020? The engine cover and owner's manual still say Energi, but the exterior badging and official name online & officially from Ford changed it to Plug-in Hybrid. I figured it was to avoid any confusion consumers might have in thinking it was a full EV.

How many Fords , or Ford trucks have you owned?

I bought my second Ford yesterday, a 2006 Focus ZXW SE. My first was a 1983 LTD Crown Victoria, I seriously miss that car. Last year I was very tempted to buy a 1988 Town Car but there were some concerns about it and I passed on it.

Oh that one isn’t interesting 😂. I’m an automotive journalist so that’s my ride this week. Reserve AWD trim with all the extra options ticked off. Quite a nice ride overall, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the recent Lincoln offerings.

Hey everyone, I’m new to the forum and looking forward to getting to know my car better by searching through the archives here. My first car when I was young was a 1983 Ford LTD Crown Victoria, not a day goes by that I don’t miss that car. I’ve been in the market recently for a daily driver of sorts and after wasting some money on a rusted wreck last week, I traded it in for a 2006 Focus ZXW SE today. It’s not the SES unfortunately but seems to be in good mechanical order. No major issues aside from a P0446 check engine code and a faint gas smell, and the heating/air controls won’t switch to send any air to the upper vents. I’m planning on sorting those two issues out quickly and thoroughly cleaning the interior of the car. I’ll be scouting out some alloys to replace the steelies and winter tires on there now, along with sourcing a second key, preferably new.
