OffBalance mentioned a piece of steel both over and under. You might be able to use a rare earth magnet on the underside to hold the top piece in place. Use caution, a large rare earth magnet is formidable! Aka...dangerous, speaking from experience! HA!

I have had several over the years. For my new truck I'm going with a Retrax Pro. I have it sitting in the garage waiting for the truck to arrive. I really like how it locks open in various positions allowing you to see the bed, maximize storage and use a 5th wheel hook-up.
