'22 Model Information from Twin Turbo, moderator on Mustang6G: Job 1 is supposed to be January 3, 2022 2021MY ordering ends October 1, 2021. 2022MY Ordering opens October 11, 2021 2021MY Production ends on December 23, 2021 2022MY deliveries should be next February, reaching possibly up to March 2022.

So I just checked with my dealer who verified through Vehicle Visibility that my new build week is 11/29 and it was verified through Ford as well and that 2021 production was pushed out to December for MY2021 Mustangs. So much differing info out and about right now so guess I'll see. Thanks Ice!

My build week comes from an email received from Ford. The orders I'm referencing are mustang orders, in fact, they're almost exact same build as ours. And yes, I understand from this forum that dealers have access to Vehicle Visibility system, but to your point made on here multiple times the dealers are either clueless or unhelpful to their customers.

We placed an order for a 2021 Mustang GT Premium on 8/18 (Iconic, 401A, Active exhaust, black accent, automatic, B&O), confirmed same day, VIN on 9/2, build week of 12/6. I see other very similar builds on another forum where VIN received 2-3 weeks before ours with build weeks in early to mid October. These would seem to indicate that our build date should be early November, not December. I don't understand the timing of orders if as Ford says customer orders are fulfilled before dealer orders and orders are built in order received. Also, I see unfulfilled orders, some as old as 6 months on these other forums yet dealers are still receiving their stock orders and have recent blend dates on cars they show in transit. I'm not griping per se, just trying to understand the method to the madness bc it doesn't seem to make a whole lot of sense. Also, if a customer has received their VIN for a 2021 does that mean it will be built? Ford won't invalidate the VIN, cancel the order and instruct customer to resubmit for 2022 when order banks open? Thank you!
