  1. Man.. I just noticed my DEF level. One thing I notice now is that this 23'  burns way more DEF than any of my previous trucks. Ive had them all 20' 21' 22'. I only have 1800 miles on this truck and Ive now been through 5 gallons of DEF. (Ive only pull my 5th wheel on 1 trip 200 miles up and 200 back.)

I ordered on 8-23-2021 confirmation on 8-23-2021 was told by the sales manager worst case sernio my truck would be delivered in April of 2022, my son ordered the exact truck with the 7.3 gas motor instead of the diesel engine that I ordered. My son ordered a  month after I did, he received his truck a early this month. Sales manager says no one is in front of me and doesn't know what is the hold up is. All constraints were removed in February on both trucks. Worst part was I traded my truck in September figuring I could make it thru winter without a truck. I was wrong, so for everyone that's frustrated I feel your pain.

Made that mistake 2 months ago. Traded my truck knowing that my new truck was already "in port" 20 miles from the dealer. My new truck sat there for a month while I had to rent a car and cancel a family camping vacation. Wife was not happy. Lesson learned!

Ford price protection goes through the dealer.  No matter what the sticker price is the dealer's invoice price is locked in at order time.  Dealers honoring price protection normally charge you based on their original invoice while they wait for Ford to refund them difference.   Apparently some dealers will not (or cannot) "float" the difference and will send you a check after they get their check from Ford.  My advice is to push back.

I would not agree to them sending me a check unless it is in writing.

thats what i thought. i have it "written" on my deal sheet so will see what happens i guess

Just picked up my F450 (See previous post) per some other questions, I dealt with Groves Ford in Cape Girardeau Missouri. Took eight months. They price protected me even with the price increase. Offered me $41k for a Chevy 1500 LTZ, as long as I kept mileage under 40k. I was at 35k. Managed it and they kept their word. All I can say was a long wait, tested my patience but dealership was awesome. Wife's Bronco next.

Did they price protect you on the spot? Im being told that Ford will send me a check for the difference after the purchase paperwork is filed with Ford.

My dealer offered me $38,500 for my '17 F150 and said if you keep the miles near what it was at the time, the trade in offer would be honored. I don't daily the truck so it only has about 36-37K on it and since ordering the F250 I've put a couple hundred on it tops. Hopefully their true to their word.

He also said if I want to sell it to someone else they are fine with that too. In the end it's just dollars to them.

Of course this was after a long talk about the business and my Father as he knew my Father and that my family owned a Ford dealership for 35+ years. I keep nda know how the business works.

The past 2 trucks Ive had I always rushed to trade or sell because I thought the prices were going to drop out. Nothing has dropped in 2 years in fact theyve only increased in value. As long as the shortage stays. the prices will be the same.

As I write this post, I am still scheduled for production the week of 27 June, next week.  (However, I still dread a late email pushing me back, again.)  I understand that the window sticker should be viewable between 1 to 7 days prior to production, but my window sticker still has not populated.  I am leaving for international business travel tomorrow and will be gone for 4 weeks.  If the truck gets built and delivery beats my expectation, it could arrive before I return. My dealer says they will not sell my truck out from under me if they have to hold it for some time until my return.  Needless to say, I’m getting a little anxious something will not go well. What timeframe are others seeing as far as window sticker availability?

My last 2 trucks the sticker hasnt been viewable until it was IN production

My delivery window "ended" today.  My trucks been sitting in the Miami rail yard since June 10th. My sales guy pulled up the VVR and now it shows delivery mid JULY! Its less than an hour away! He says theyre gonna call down there to find out why but im not holding my breath.

Ive been curious of this as well. My order was built 2/18 and shipped via rail ~2/23. It arrived in Miami according to the dealer and @jhaber who tracked the train with his truck on it as well. Both going to the same dealer in West Palm. Dealer today told me its 10-14 days to come up from there ?

Yup... train pulled into Miami on the 4th

Anyone know what it means when your ETA date disappears from the ford tracker site on a built truck? Over the weekend it was showing an ETA to dealer on 3/10/22. Now that information is gone, line item is completely removed under Vehicle Details.

Anyone deal with that yet? Hopefully not purgatory like the other user here was describing. I am very close to the plant.

I literally just came on here to ask the same question. My ETA was supposed to be tomorrow but Ive been tracking the train and its still over 600 miles away. Today the ETA has disappeared from the ford tracking.

How did you find out it was loaded on the car?

Mine's in Shelbyville as well, has been since the 14th. I have a car number, but the automated phone system for the rail road company does not give a lot of info.

Ask your dealer for you VVR report. It will show your rail car number and then you can and track the car number if it works.
