I ordered a 2022 Lariat F350 on 02/03/22 with all the low commodity options. I called the dealership the other day to see if they could give me an update on current priority code and where I fall in their queue. Salesman was worthless and said they didn't have access to that info which I know is BS. Long story short he said he if I don't remove the low commodity options from my order than I won't be getting it. Spending as much as I am on this truck I'm not willing to compromise with options so I guess we shall see. Just annoyed that they get to hold on to my $2500 deposit for 6-8 months until the order gets cancelled. And I know there's a lot of you out there that have been waiting much longer that may not get a truck either, bummer!

I ordered in August of last year with low commodity options. And, like you, wanted to just wait it out.  Nothing.  I finally decided to drop some stuff.  My rep told me he couldn't because of the priority it was at.  I had to quote @ice-capades to him and, after that, he was able to get things changed. Two weeks later I was scheduled.  Sadly, if you wait, you may not get your truck.  Plenty of after market options for everything but the AS really.

What realistic or dream options or upgrades would you like to see the SD to have in the next gen models?

Few things I would like to see offered that I would get or consider if fairly priced would be.

2nd factory fuel tank option like the old trucks.

Factory High performance options, headers, cam, exhaust, procharger ect ect, on any trim level. (no warranty issues)

factory fuel tank gauge for aux tank (in the dash cluster with other gauges)

Dream option here....2 speed rear end like the big trucks have... maybe a 4.56 that drops to a 3.40 or something like that...

And bring back the manual transmission!

What would you like to see?

Don't really care about high performance options or manual transmission.

Would like to see an 8 cylinder eco-boost for sure.

Would like to see some of the lariat and higher options available as add-ons.  Would have paid for a leather wrapped steering wheel and LED lights separately for example, but wasn't going to shell out an additional 7K for them.

HUD would be nice to have.

IL isn't actually all that bad for for conceal carry holders traversing the state.  It's a little quirky, but I live in MI where we have some really stupid firearm laws.

I feel bad for you.  I'm in Kansas where they darn near assign you a .380 on the way out of the hospital.  Heck, I've literally got my own 40 yard pistol range in my back yard.  God Bless America!!!

I know right!  After all this time finally somewhere my actual truck is being built.  Very exciting.

During an IDPA competition, they set up an extra non scored stage with a auto.  It's a scrap auto, so inadvertent discharge wouldn't impact any thing.  We told to carry as we normally do, and the firearm was checked to be unloaded three times.  Once by you, under the watchful eye or RSO.  He then took the firearm and cleared it himself.  And you were required to clear it again after he handed it back to you.  Watching people struggle with their conceal carry, while seated in the car with seat belt on was hilarious.  To make it more fun, the bad guy was at the drivers window.  Since I mostly OC, it was a piece of cake for me...  Now, since we're cruising through multiple states with the 5th wheel, I've transition to mostly CC, and I'm very mindful of the fact that now I have to deal with it behind my back.  Luckily my wife mostly appendix carries, so she in theory be able to buy a little bit of time until i can also get engaged.

Hahaha, hope you don't spend too much time crossing Illinois or California!!!  I spent many years crossing between Kansas and Indiana.  Always HATED crossing Illinois.

Yeah its nice I just don’t like how it hammers the breaks to keep the set distance when someone jumps in front of you on the interstate. Other than that I love it!

I normally have my wife to tell me I'm "getting too close to the guy in front of us, slow down".  Hahaha, don't need something automated.

I was in the same boat (didn't know my exact build day but sometime last week). No update in the tracker this morning but just checked that site and I also have BCE codes this morning after not having them yesterday! This forum has helped me not constantly bug my dealer for updates!

Yeah, that too!  Not sure my dealer is glad I'm on this forum.  He's been really good and responsive to me but told me some things that icecapades' posts showed were incorrect.  Hopefully this also helped some customers that came after me.

I was scheduled to the day of 03/20.  Hadn't heard anything and cyberdman told me there was no movement he could see in his tracker.  I then figured I'd try this site and sure enough there were BCE codes!  ???   After 7 months of waiting there is finally some movement.  Without this forum to keep me busy it would have been much harder.  Of course the wait isn't over but very thankful for all the contributors on here!!!

CBears - you are correct and I did state that in the rules that I only do this while working, so week days only.  You are fine.

That being said, your production day came and went and you did not start production yet, nor are there any new updates or changes yet.  Rebump this again next week and I'll take another look.

I was afraid of this but as always appreciate your time and effort very much.  See you next week!  ?

Per the rules you can't ask until the schedule to day has passed. It's rule 9 on the tracking rules. Not sure if he'll answer bc he already said you didn't bump correctly per the rules back in Jan. Just trying to help you out.

Appreciate you trying to help me out but I actually figured he wouldn’t see this until tomorrow, which will be after the date, because I thought he only did these on weekdays. I am trying very hard to follow the rules, even though I missed the one early on you also pointed out. I very much appreciate the time cyberdman spends helping us. He is doing a great service and would not want to take advantage.

I always pay cash. I set up a separate savings account with auto deposit and make payments to myself every month. I adjust the payment syearly  based on cost that year.  When it comes time to get a new one I write a check for the balance after the trade-in and any discounts like X-Plan and private offers.

I do the same exact thing only the bank account doesn’t have my name on it. ?

Just think I personally would never use blue cruise not to mention who in their right mind wants a close to 7000# truck, which would most likely be towing a significant load, driving itself down the freeway????

Completely agree, if I'm behind the wheel, I want to be driving.  There are just too many variables.  There are some of the new features that I don't mind, lane change, auto-cruise adjustment, BLIS, etc., but I'll keep my hands on the wheel, thanks.

I got a $2500 one around Sept last year.  I'm not really sure what triggered it being sent to me.  Wish I would get a bigger one before my truck gets here.

Same here.  Ordered in August, got the $2500 in Sept.  I was told I could use it and, since it doesn't expire, I've got it ready to go.  Would certainly not turn down one for more should it arrive.  ?

If it is in the same location as the 2020 Expedition I have, under the radio, my iPhone doesn't fit when it is in a case. I ended up buying a wireless charging cradle from Amazon and pairing it with a BuiltRight Ind mounting bracket. Have my phone and iPad mounted there in the Expedition and plan to do the same with the 250 when it arrives.

  15. Does anyone have any experience with the ValuGuard products that Line-X offers?  They have a rust inhibitor and an undercoating.  The latter sounds like the wax stuff you are mentioning while the inhibitor is some sort of fog that gets inside things.  I'm NOT connected with Line-X at all, I just already have several things ordered from them and was hoping to get everything done in one place.

With the tracker being down, how am I going to be able to track my truck every 10 minutes?? Anyone else super obsessed with using the tracker even though you know there likely hasn't been any updates?? ?

OMG!  I wish I had a dime for every time I've pulled it up or refreshed that page.  I'd likely be able to pay the truck off with the proceeds.  ?  I feel silly doing it but also can't help myself.

So are they building Super Duty's this week?  I know that @ice-capades posted the production schedule and it says 3/25/2022.  I didn't get any update on my production date?  Still have the 3/14/2022 email and truck shows in production.  Does that mean it will be built this week or next week?

Mine was first the 7th, then the 14th, then the 7th again, then the 14th again.  I was going out to the production tracker site a LOT and it finally said in production Friday the 4th but I never got any emails to let me know the status had changed.  Then I got the window sticker Monday the 7th I believe.  With all the talk about commodities and such I fully expected to get bumped all last week but I didn't.  This morning I have checked the tracker multiple times and still listed as "in production" but still haven't gotten any emails about status change.  All this to say, I think you and I are in the the same boat and, at least from what the tracker says, are still moving forward.  My wife doesn't even want to talk to me because it's all I talk about.  ?

I have not, I inspected my truck for 2 hours before taking delivery. I found 1 less than 1 cm scratch on the passenger side door they are doing a touch up on once they can get anti-matter blue. I took a creeper with me inspected everything underneath as well, and full electronic testing.

    Dealers hate me.

Hahaha, I thought it was only me.  When I bought my 12 F150, I found a paint bubble that had burst on the front rim of the hood.  Only found it by opening the hood and looking up and under.  You could see the primed metal underneath.  They agreed to fix because I found it before it left the lot.  Then the Ford body shop I took it to just sprayed paint over the top, no sanding.  I didn't accept that either.  Then they did it right but didn't remove the overspray.  I didn't accept that either.  They all hate me.  ?  I'm not paying this kind of money for something though and accepting any BS.
