  1. I believe I mentioned this in another thread, but I placed a special order for a 2022 Ford Explorer ST at the end of last August. I knew going into it, it would be a timely thing with the 2022's not going into production until the end of September as well as labor and chip shortages. My order was confirmed the beginning of October in the Ford system and had a tentative build date of 12/16. It then moved up according to the tracker for a blend date of 11/23 and the window sticker showed up. According to the tracker, it sat in the "in production" status until right before the new year. The issue was I plugged my VIN into one of the tracking sites back at the beginning of December and saw that it had been delivered to an Auto Auction in Chicago. My husband reached out and it was indeed there. The whole time, my dealership kept telling me I would know more than they would and that any new news, I probably get it before they did. I reached out to them and told them about the Auto Auction and they said the car was put on the wrong truck and they had sent a truck to get it. Following that, it look a week and a half of phone calls, emails and texts to the dealership to see what was going on. FINALLY, they told me it wasn't supposed to leave the factory at all because it was missing chips and that it was being sent back so they had no idea when it would actually arrive. Fast forward to the end of last year, when I finally receive the email saying my car has officially been built. I checked my tracker to see if there was an update, but I had been locked out as it said my car had already been delivered which it had not. Not only has my dealership not been much help, but since it was taken to a different location when it wasn't supposed to be, every time I called or used the chat feature on the Ford website, they told me it had been delivered when it hadn't been. Last week the dealership said it had been released and that it would take anywhere from 2 weeks to 30 days to arrive. Mind you, I understand completely the shortages on everything and the delays it can cause, but now I am seeing people who placed their orders without special high priority codes and with things like the tech package and moonroof like I have, have their cars arriving at their dealerships. I've always been a Ford girl, but I am super frustrated with the whole process. Has anyone else had this much trouble with their custom orders?
  2. My ETA was 12/17 and nothing so far
  3. So I heard something last Monday after a ton of runaround. They told me that my car wasn't complete yet and that it "accidently" got picked up and delivered. They said it had been taken back to the factory, but per their Ford representative, there was now no ETA on when the car would be complete. As of today, the car still shows in production, but the window sticker did pop back up after being gone for like 3 weeks. I understand the chip shortage and labor issues, but this has been the worst experience between my dealer and Ford not knowing anything.
  4. My car on the site still shows in production since 11/23, but I know it's already built. Went to the dealer last Monday night after finding out it got delivered to an Auto Auction House outside Chicago. They said they were aware of the issue and had a truck on the way to get it. It has now been a week and I haven't heard a damn thing from them other than its not here yet. I was on the dealer site Friday night and noticed my car showed up as "IN STOCK", but when I called up there, it still wasn't there. I've looked at all the tracking sites, talked to reps at Ford who say they can only see that it was delivered to the first location and nothing from the dealer. I understand waiting is the hardest part, but this has been nothing more than a pain. I just want my car and not the freaking run around.
  5. Hi first time poster here! I placed an order with my dealer for a 2022 Ford Explorer ST back on 8/21. The order didn't actually go in until 10/6. I got an email from Ford saying it would be built on 12/13, but then I checked the site one day and it said it was in production and the window sticker appeared with a blend date of 11/23 and expected delivery date of 12/17. Since then, the tracker has been stuck at the 11/23 production date and then after a couple of weeks, the window sticker disappeared. I contacted my dealer to see if the delivery date was correct and they said they did expect it then, but had no other information. Well I had to stop by my dealership last weekend for another matter and asked while I was there if the date was still the same. They said they thought so, but would get back to me on Monday. I didn't hear back and finally contacted the Ford chat on Thursday and the agent I was chatting with, said it was delivered, but couldn't see dates in her system. I called my dealer and they said they hadn't seen it that day, but would let us know either way. My dealer contacted me yesterday and they still hadn't received my car. Since the Ford tracking website has been down, I haven't been able to check on it, but this morning I checked one of the other carrier sites and noticed that my car was delivered on the Cassens transport website. When I pulled up the delivery receipt, it shows it was delivered to the Auto Auction in Chicago. I'm new to the ordering process so I wasn't sure if they did something for Ford after production or not. Wanted to see maybe if anyone had any insight? I'm really excited for my car and I definitely don't want it going to someone else.
