  1. I totally get that part. The dealers do have all the information that is provided, but not all the information that is available. In this world we live in where you can track every step of every automated process in earth, it would be beneficial to provide detailed information on the delay. The trucks aren’t sitting there with a sign on the windshield that says “missing pieces.” That VIN is flagged for the very specific parts that are needed to complete the build. If a truck is waiting for sport wheels that’s one thing, but if it’s waiting on power running boards, 2kw generator, and adaptive steering that’s completely different. As it stands, the customer gets the message that it’s waiting on a part, but we don’t know what part. Seems like it would be easy to add that information to the VVR to give people some piece of mind. I obviously don’t know, or claim to know, how the logistics work during the build process but it was just a thought.
  2. Same thoughts here… there is a slight difference in where it sits. Mine would be in a garage in Georgia versus sitting in Dearborn in the snow and ice during winter.
  3. Flood Ford ESP was over $2,000 cheaper for the exact same warranty my dealer offered. They have a great reputation for ESP sales online and I’ve never seen anything negative from anyone who has used them.
  4. I am told mine is on hold due to chip shortage as well. I ordered 9/7/21 and it went into production on 11/21/21 and status hasn’t changed since. My dealer says all they can see is that is has been produced. The Ford Marketing Team actually told me about mine being on a chip hold. They also stated there was no ETA on the chip arrival so… not a clue when it might actually ship.
  5. 100% agree that communication is lacking. My dealer isn’t getting any valuable information from Ford. Customer service says I need to be talking to the marketing department which gives me no valuable information, and THEN says… “your dealer is the best source for the latest information.” At this point my dealership is as frustrated as I am about order statuses.
  6. I wish the sport appearance package on F-150 had an option to do solid black interior without the reddish/brown two-tone. I like the two-tone but would like all black better.
  7. Having some difficulty finding information on the adaptive steering option. I’ve seen it mentioned that it is not available on a Lariat regardless of package and option choice, then I’ve seen others with Lariats say they have it. It did not appear as an option when I ordered by ‘21 and I don’t recall seeing it listed in the 502 High package that I ordered. Is it only available on higher models?
