  1. There is a serious disconnect happening somewhere. When I picked up my truck on Wednesday the guy at the dealership said that in normal times they had 400 vehicles on their lot. Currently they had 20. He said they usually moved about 200 vehicles per month. Dealership after dealership I pass on the highway I see the same thing, empty lots. Now today when I read a press release about a new Kentucky plant shutdown because of chip shortages it says that Ford produced 2.3 million vehicles in 2019 and will produce 2.1 million this year. Well... simple math says that's only a 10% reduction. So, if they are producing 90% of the cars that they were how come the lots don't have 90% of the cars that they did?
  2. The wait for me is over my Ford brethren. I am happy to report that I picked up my truck this morning. Ordered 10/4/2021, build date pushed twice, and actual build date Feb 9th. Truck shipped on the 14th. 2022 F250 crew cab, Antimatter blue, Tremor pkg, BOP pkg, 5th wheel prep, bedliner, 6.7 diesel, lariat ultimate, moon roof, carpet delete, truck bed step, hood lights. What a ride. Had some issues with the dealer. Mainly he wouldn't allow me to use my credit union for financing and bullied me into a 0.6% higher rate with his lender BUT no worries I will refinance in a few months and do a lengthy write up to Ford about the shadiness of it all. I got the truck for 1% below dealer invoice and salesman flat out told me he could sell this truck for $10k above MSRP so I was nervous going into the deal and feel blessed I got out of there with my truck. Good luck to all of you guys and I cannot tell you how thankful I am that this forum exists. The information that you provide and the comradery is priceless.
  3. It's based on their prioritization and deals with dealerships. Let's say 2 different dealerships have 55 super duties that they sold this month. Dealership A has an allotment for 50 Super duties per month and dealership B is only alloted 5 super duty trucks per month according to their deal with Ford, which one is gonna fill the order first? This is how I understand it. I'm sure it's much more complicated and shortages of chips and other items also come into play.
  4. I don't know what you ordered but I am starting to think a lot of you folks with 6 month old outstanding orders and no vins ordered trucks from dealerships that weren't honest about their allotments. There have been a lot of posts on this thread about allocations and how they work.
  5. How do you know it's still at the railyard? Did Ford send you an email adjusting the delivery date?
  6. Well my delivery window hasn't changed yet. Says 21-27th but 27th is a Sunday so... who knows.
  7. Talked to my salesman this morning and he says mine is in Illinois, then headed to Spring TX, then finally to the dealership. Curious why it would go from Kentucky to Illinois? Seems out of the way.
  8. I have to disagree with this. It's a company culture at Ford and their dealerships that I blame. My wife drives a Mercedes and our experience with their sales staff and professionalism was totally different despite the fact that my truck costs more than her SUV. Same can be said from when she had an Infiniti. We witnessed training sessions and conferences they had on new vehicles in their dealerships showing the salesman new models and quizing them on features meanwhile over at the ford dealership everything is "let me check on that".
  9. I can't get mine to pull up at all anymore. Anyone else having issues with the ford tracker site. My ETA was tomorrow through the 27th
  10. Exactly. I think Ford should step up and make people whole. These dealerships are taking advantage and flat out lying to customers because the system Ford setup incentivizes them to. We aren't talking about $200 either... in some cases it's $5,000. I think Ford should go back and offer anyone who makes a claim and can produce paperwork showing a dealership screwed them over 0% financing for the length of their loans.
  11. Call your credit union get a check for the price of the truck, pay them and move on. Then list your "trade" on facebook marketplace for $45k and be done with it.
  12. Sounds right. Mine went into production on the 9th as well. Was scheduled as the "week of the 7th" built date was the 11th and got an email that she shipped this morning.
  13. Built date isn't showing up on their app. It shows it went into production on the 9th. Email stating it was built came in this morning. Says it should be at the dealer the week of the 21st so we shall see. Anyone dealing with FMC, how are their rates right now?
  14. Keep the faith. I ordered 10/4 and woke up to the "Congratulations your truck has been built" email. F250, antimatter blue, Lariat ultimate, tremor, BAP, moonroof, 5th wheel prep, bedliner. My coffee is going to taste extra good this morning. Waiting for the shipping notice but hope to be driving her home in a couple of weeks.
  15. I read somewhere that the 23 models are going to be redesigned to include a self driving feature and have a new front lighting and rears too. How in God's name are they planning to redesign these trucks when they can't get parts for the old design?
