Posted something similar to this in a different thread. My current truck has a bit of a make shift mount that I modified a little bit. Has worked well for 8 years. When my super duty arrives I have a new product to use. Cleaner mount that will only require two holes. First picture is what I started with, progressing through what I had to do to get it to work. Last pic is this mounting system I'll be changing over to. This holster just stays with my truck and I transition my pistol from my on body holster to the truck holster.

    Thanks for sharing.

So does the holster just basically use belt clip(s) to clip into it? Or is it a holster made specifically for this mount?

  2. Picked up my F250 yesterday after 5 months of waiting. Huge thanks to this forums information, and specifically  @ice-capades, as I was very thoroughly prepared for every single curveball the dealer threw at me during the purchase process.

Had a weapongear holster in my F150, but looking for new options. It moved too much up and down due to a single mount point and was an absolute beating installing/uninstalling due to the bolt location in the seat frame.

Would people mind sharing pics of their mounted holster set ups? This holster picture isn’t mine, but this is the set up I was using.

I attempted to use the search function but didn’t have any luck. User error I’m sure. Apologies for any re-tread.

Hardly! The PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) only takes about an hour unless there are DIO (Dealer Installed Options) options that need to be installed. Otherwise, the only other time required is that needed to clean and detail the vehicle. Even pre-COVID, it wasn't unusual for a vehicle to arrive at the dealership in the morning and be delivered that afternoon.

What would the dealer installed options be?

It always shows current pricing.  Dealer has to request the price protection at invoice time.

Request the price protection? Meaning price protection isn’t automatically established at the time of invoice?

Maybe I’m getting mixed up in semantics here. Apologies, first time ordering a vehicle, and certainly first time dealing with this buying climate.

As a reminder to me, at what point in the process does it invoice?

  5. Went to a dealership, built the truck online with the rep, and the dealer handed me the one pager that outlined it all. They wouldn’t accept x-plan so I went down the road.

Second dealership would accept x-plan so they got my order on 11/8.

Recently realized(couple months later)  that the dealership had not given me a copy of the actual order sheet, but handed me back the mock up the first dealership built for me.

I went up to the dealership and asked for a copy(January 2022).  The new copy reflected the December price increase despite the order being 11/8.

Should be an interesting conversation come truck pick up time. Wonder if they’re trying to get over on me, or if the system just automatically re-generated the build with the new pricing?!?

While waiting on my 22 f250 I have been researching wheels/tires. I already have the carli 2.5 pintop system with deaver rear springs and have not made up my mind on wheels.  My current truck a 15 f150 had a 4" lift with maxxis razr at 35x12.5x18 and vision machined wheel.

The truck I have on order is the same color as my f150, I plan on putting on bronze wheels. I have come back to this Fuel Covert wheel several times. My plan is to get them in 18x9 and put on 37x12.5 Maxxis RAZR AT.

Anyone running these wheels please share some photos.

I like the stance of this truck but 40"'s are too big.

I like these wheels a lot. Not sure if you’re in rougher terrain or mainly do city driving, but those would be a chore to clean. All the angles and holes to get in and out of.

    Beautiful wheel though!

I know this topic has been covered before but I want to see if there's any updates or new info out there.

I would like to get rid of the clear clearance lights on the top of the truck. Has anybody replaced them and knows a part number for tinted ones or replacement lens that are tinted?

There are always replacement light sets, but I would prefer to not break the seal of the lights off a new truck and deal with wiring. I think a lens swap would be better.

Look up the Wild Willies Aiken ford guy out of Georgia on YouTube. He’s got a ton of F2/3/450 videos and has done a lot of the light switch outs. Bet if you email him, he’ll either sell the to you or tell you where to get them.

Not sure if this truck has them, but this is the guy. First video that popped up for me.

According to the Kirby the 275 is built into the xplan price. The 100 you are referring to is what they might charge as “dealer admin fees”. They can only charge you 100 bucks. The 1695 destination fee is not negotiable and any dmv fees are also allowed.

Thank you Ardvark666 for the quick response.

For clarity, I won’t actually see the $275 as a line item on the factory invoice or AXZD Plan Pricing Agreement, it’s simply built in? Or if I do see it, it would be included and not more than the X-Plan Price?

EDIT: answer confirmed. just generated a PIN and it states $275 admin is included in x-plan price(this amount should not be added to x-plan price).

  9. Apologies if asked and previously answered as this thread is huge and sort of all over the map, newbie here.

Getting conflicting info on admin fees when reading ‘How the plan works’ FAQ’s:

The answer to question 21 reads,

“…customers using the X-Plan Program do not pay dealer admin fees, which may be an additional cost on alternative price points.”

    Then question 24 states:

….”dealers permitted to to assess up to $100 in doc fees(state dependent)…..“ “How does this change the $275 admin fee?
-There is no change. The $275 admin fee covers the cost of managing the New Vehicle Purchase Program.”

So is the $275 Admin fee applicable, or not under the X-Plan?

TIA. Learned a ton on this site in 24 hours since joining. Will be purchasing my third Ford truck in a row in about a month. Wished I would’ve joined years ago.

I've had 2 King Ranch trucks with color matched LineX bed liners.  Loved it as much as  the crowds that saw it over the years.  I first did the dark brown in 2012,  then my 2015 was the reddish color.  Matched great,  wore like iron and it was as nice as black liners.  Just have to find a good LineX shop.

When I read the OP I was thinking color matching bed liner wouldn’t look good, but this looks great.

I’ve had two white F150’s and couldn’t get the black liner in there fast enough as it was just so bright it would catch my eye in the mirror on sunny days.
