The X Plan price is available when the order is first created. All they have to do is select "Plan Pricing" when displaying the WBDO (Web Based Dealer Ordering) Preview. X Plan prices go up along with the regular vehicle prices. As such, you should get a signed sales agreement specifying the vehicle specifications and all financial terms.

Sadly, my dealer has insisted multiple times that they only apply X-plan at the delivery as part of the finance paperwork. Both salesperson and sales manager have said this ? I wish that things could be more consistent and transparent. But I'm hoping they will keep their word on this.

ooo lucky. Whom did ya work with? Guy i worked with was not helpful - basically said there is no price protection. Ended up going with one in Kent. Even though they did not print out the XPLAN pricing on the order sheet, they did confirm they will generate it based on xplan. let's hope they stick with it and don't screw me either.

Ya, the communication has been less than stellar. But the order preview sheet showed the price level ordered at, so that should remain the invoice price regardless. I'm trying to remember that I'm not the only client and of course am not as high value since I'm doing X-plan. But I still do wish they were more transparent with vehicle visibility reports and the like. Good luck with the Kent place.

Whom did you order from? Did they require a deposit? And were you able to get price protection based on your order date? I'm trying to find a dealer that does the above.

    Thanks!

I ordered from the Lynnwood one. No deposit. And as far as I know, price protection is automatic. I have the price preview sheet with the pricing code. I guess here's hoping they don't screw me ?‍♂️

  4. Ask your dealer again, talk to a sales manager if needed. They can look up status at any time. I had to press a few times with my dealer, but they eventually helped. You can also post a bit more in this forum and then use the https://blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/forum/80-vehicle-locator-by-ford-employees/ forum given your Sales Code (L + 5 digit number) and your Order Code (the 1033 you posted) and you might get help there too.

I ordered an Aviator BL GT on 2/11 and am currently scheduled to day of 5/6.

Is there any way to use that link if you only have a dealer code and order number?

I don't believe that there is any way to directly pull status information using just dealer code and order number. But see my post above for options -- your dealer or the Lincoln Concierge can help until you get a VIN.

I've ordered a 2022 Aviator reserve on March 1st 2022. How do I find out anything about it's production schedule ? Is there a web site I can go to?? Do I need it's VIN number or not?? Do I get the VIN number from the dealer or where?

Initially, you won't have a VIN as that doesn't get generated until your order is scheduled. The numbers you should have now that you can track with, to some extent, are the Sales Code (usually L followed by 5 digits) and the Order Code (usually 4 alphanumeric characters). Your dealer can access the Vehicle Visibility Report at any time using these numbers and give you a status. I'm hearing the same as others here for Reserve builds -- around 3-4 months. GT builds taking longer, closer to 5-6 months.

If your dealer is not being super helpful, you can also call or chat with the Lincoln Concierge on their website. If you give them the Sales Code and Order Code, they can look up the order and give coarse status. With a 3/1 order date, you are likely still in the "Order Processing" state. I ordered a Black Label GT on 2/11 and am also still not scheduled.

Later, your order will be scheduled and you'll receive a VIN either directly from Lincoln via email and/or from your dealer. You can use the VIN and Order Code to track the order directly on Lincoln's website: https://shop.lincoln.com/vehicleordertracking#/

    Hope this helps.

  7. Hi folks -- nice to meet you. I'm waiting on my first Lincoln -- a new Aviator Black Label Grand Touring. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate all of the detailed information and the folks at Ford who are willing to help with things. I'm one to get a bit excited over things like a new car, so I'm trying to keep close track on progress. But I'm buying with X-plan and I can tell that my salesperson isn't super-excited to answer questions or check status for me. So all of the resources here have been really helpful. Thank you all :)

Wow that’s great to hear - thanks so much for the insight!

No problemo :) I'm navigating this whole process too. The commodity shortages is the biggest thing causing delays as far as I know, so while you may have a high priority (I think 2 is highest a dealer can set without their regional rep doing something special), your order still won't get scheduled until Ford has the right parts to build it.

Here is an older post explaining the whole process that I found handy: https://www.focusrs.org/threads/the-ford-ordering-process-explained-from-start-to-finish.908/

Last Friday dealer said my order was Priority 2 status. No idea what that means…

Priority is relative to other orders within that dealer. There's posts around on how the allocation system works, but basically they round robin through dealers, picking up the highest priority order within that dealer's unscheduled orders that can be built given current commodity constraints. 2 is pretty high, so it means that your order would likely be next in line from your dealer as soon as commodity constraints allow.

Ordered new build 2022 Aviator Reserve and confirmed from dealer November 2021. When can/should I expect notification of build completion and dealer delivery?? Thank You!

I've been seeing Reserve orders taking 3-4 months from what I've read on various forums/groups. GT orders longer than that. They just did a round of scheduling into April weeks, so if your car was not scheduled yet, you may be waiting for a May build at this point or later. Have you checked in with your dealer on status?

car steers itself in the lane on freeway as long as it detects hand on wheels every ~30 seconds

really enjoyed this on our ‘21 f-150 for long drives

I have the Volvo equivalent of this on my current XC60 -- it is nice for long interstate drives. I'm excited for CoPilot 2.0 though because it's apparently supposed to work without hands on wheel for most interstate highways. Definitely looking forward to whenever Ford releases the MY23 ordering guide.
