I ordered an F-250 Lariat on Jan. 5th and last week I received an email from Ford saying that they are sorry but they have no idea when my truck will be scheduled for production. I have no idea if the dealer (Capital Ford in Charlotte) has the allocation, or even if this matters on retail customer orders. In any event, I am pretty frustrated with the situation. I asked my dealer if certain options could be slowing the process and he said that he was aware of any. Ford email: Thanks again for placing your 2022 Super Duty F-250 Lariat order. While we’ve been busy working to get your new vehicle into production, we’ve run into a few delays. Sometimes certain features or options can lengthen the time before a vehicle is scheduled for production. We know there’s a lot of anticipation when it comes to getting into a new vehicle, so we’ll make sure to keep you updated. Once your vehicle is ready to move into the production schedule, you’ll be hearing from us again. Blue Oval members, I'm a new member here. Hi All! I am here to whine about not getting my new F-1250. I made the mistake of selling my Silverado to my son before getting my new F-250. Stupidly, I didn't realize there was a huge backlog. I placed an order on January 5, 2022, and I received the confirmation email from Ford on January 19th. I haven't heard a word since then. I called my dealer and he said my order is in the queue. I even called Ford directly and they said that they know nothing more, and to work with my salesperson for updates. I've bought a new trailer, and a Can-Am X3 RS Turbo RR 72, and I have no truck to transport it! The waiting is killing me! I even worry a bit that the truck might not get built. My dealer told me that I have "price protection" for twelve months from January. I look forward to hearing about other peoples' experiences getting their fine new trucks! Good luck!
