  1. The yo-yo continues to rebound. Production pushed back....again! See signature below.
  2. I wouldn't get overly excited about the VVR being down. Systems go down all the time for a multitude of reasons. I certainly wouldn't put it down to switching over to MY23. The Super Duty order bank won't open for another couple of weeks. Regardless of that fact, the VVR would have to be designed to handle the fact that at the end of any model year, some vehicles would still be in the production/delivery process while orders for new MY vehicles are being taken. In fact, aren't some models (i.e. other than SD) already open for orders? Seems like a random IT glitch...try again in a while.
  3. My F350 Platinum DRW just got pushed from 10/24 to 10/31. I made it 2 whole weeks before the first push back!
  4. 1. Yes, obviously. That said, it probably won't be a very long strike. Biden will likely step in pretty quickly if it happens. 2. Nope. Too many issues involved with that. They are just not set up to do it that way. 3. A rail strike wouldn't have any effect on Ford or any other manufacturer's production output. The problem becomes one of temporary storage of the output until the rail strike is over. Kentucky Speedway is already pretty full of trucks from what I have seen in photographs. Where they go when that is full would be a guess.
  5. Since today is scheduling day and I don't really expect to hear that my truck got scheduled, I've been reviewing what the process looks like to the dealer and what information is available to them. Seems pretty simple. I many posts, I've seen something called "previewing" which seems to be a detailed scheduling process where Ford schedulers see if a group of orders will fit in the week's production with the least problems. Apparently, these orders that are "previewing" are visible to the dealers. My questions are: 1. Where does the dealer look to see if a particular order is "previewing"? 2. I assume that "previewing" happens earlier in the week. Which day(s)? Thanks!!
  6. Yes, that would be interesting indeed. If we all did that and posted the answers we got, I would bet that we would have a good laugh.
  7. Ditto. I got this same email on the same day. Based on recent history, I really didn't expect them to meet their communication commitment but it would have been nice. I'm starting to watch for the announcements that the remaining 22 orders are to be confirmed with your dealer so that they can put you at the head of the line for a 23. ....at least I'm hoping for that!!!
  8. OK...now I'm interested... My salesperson has shown me this screen before for my order but has not shown me the stuff in the upper left. How did your salesman get this to show up? I think I'm going to make a trip to my dealer very soon once I have this info!
  9. Is there a "general rule" as to when zone reps are making this change? How old does an order have to be before it gets changed?
  10. Question regarding the ordering process as it relates to priorities and trim levels. Ordered a F350 Platinum DRW with AS (no bedliner or 5th wheel prep) in February. Currently sitting at priority 19. That's how all of my dealer's orders go into the system. As of yesterday, I am number 7 in line for a dually. My dealer tells me that the queue is based on model and body, not all Super Duty trucks. Based on other posts in this forum, I don't think he's correct but it wasn't going to do me any good to argue the point with him at the time. Of the 6 dually trucks ahead of me, 5 are priority 2 and 1 is priority 19. The trim levels of these trucks runs the gamut...XL thru Limited. My truck is the only Platinum. My sense tells me that the priority 2 trucks will probably get built before mine even if they have all of the parts to build a Platinum but I thought I would confirm with this group before I made that assumption. Also, with regards to the priority levels, how does one get bumped up to priority 2? I am quite sure that my dealer didn't promote all of these trucks to 2 by themselves (they aren't that proactive, believe me!). Is there an automatic review at the region level after an order is unscheduled for a period of time? Is there any way I can influence a bump in priority? Thank you all for the wealth of information!!
  11. ICE...in another thread you stated... 2022MY EXPEDITION Retail and Stock orders with Multi-Contour Seats interior trim codes Light Sandstone Luxury Leather (SA), Carmelo Luxury Leather (SV) and Black Onyx Luxury Leather (SH) (Standard on Platinum only) will not be selected for scheduling. Unscheduled Platinum retail and stock orders currently in the system will need to add Multi-Contour seat delete Interior trim options Light Sand – Luxury Leather 3 (RA), Carmelo – Luxury Leather 3 (RV), or Black Onyx Luxury Leather 3 (RH). These options are now available in WBDO but are not being selected for scheduling. We will notify dealers once the options are available for scheduling. The wording is a little confusing to me. It sounds like that in order to get a 2022 Expedition Platinum scheduled, we will need to delete the multicontour seats but the last statement says that if you use WBDO to delete the seats, it won't get scheduled. Doesn't make sense to me. Also, since these are essentially the same seats that are in the Super Duty pickups, should we infer that this announcement will also apply to Super Duty Platinum orders? Inquiring minds.....
