  1. I got the 7.3 in my 2023 f350 lariat with 4.30 gears and it goes great. I’m getting 16mpg unloaded hey and about 9 towing my 30ft camper. Maintenance question…does anyone have a solution for the inaccessibility of the fuel filter? Manual says it’s a life of vehicle item which we all know is bs. Are y’all planning to retrofit a second filter in line that you can access to replace? Are you looking or an aftermarket tank that provides an accessible feature? What do you think?
  2. My dealership hooked me up right and got my vehicle PDI’d quick. I’m so happy with it and it rides smoother than I expected especially considering it’s a 350. Thank you to all who answered questions and entertained all the crazy!
  3. Mine said the same thing. I was in production for about a week and my truck shipped 5 April. Took 6 days to ship to Jessup Md and it’s been there for about two weeks just waiting on a transporter to load it up and drive it the last hour and a half.
  4. Maybe my hopes are just too high hahaha. Yesterday it said shipping so I was hoping it had been delivered and ford purged my vin from their tracking system. Hahaha
  5. So I tried to check my order status this morning and the website says it can’t process the order and the check the VIN. Does this mean my truck might be sitting at the dealer?!?!?
  6. Does anyone know if/how you can track your truck from its final rail destination to the dealership? My truck arrived yesterday morning at Annapolis Junction just an hour and a half from my dealer. Is it even possible to know when it is scheduled to be delivered? My dealer says they often don’t know and that they just show up. VINView also said yesterday my truck was in Ohio when CSX said it had arrived to Annapolis. Thanks
  7. Mine was in production for about a week before I got built status and then one day to get shipped status.
  8. Just saw my modules populated today. Anyone have an idea how long it should be before I see shipping with an eta?
  9. I have a question for those with experience in ordering vehicles from ford… my truck(f350 ccsb lariat non ultimate 7.3l) has been in production since 21 March. It’s now been over a week. When should I expect production to be complete(considering there are no holds on anything in my build)? When I got my VIN, my dealer thought delivery would be end of April or mid May but I’m eager to see what ford projects as a delivery date.
  10. I wondered the same thing. Maybe even and over the air update for the existing packages. I doubt it because why would they raise the price like that instead of just saying the software would be made available later. The plot thickens. ?
  11. Are you sure that’s true? That’s my thought as well but without getting the info from my sales manager I don’t know of any way to see the actual order codes to prove it. im sure we would get it for the original price too because of price protection.
  12. That’s what I’m hoping. Interesting note…my build has the tow technology package and when I saw my sticker I was shocked to see the price change for it go from 925 to 1570. I didn’t figure It out until I saw his video. Fingers crossed it comes with the hitch assist. Total first world add on but it’d be cool to have.
  13. That’s interesting. I wonder why they don’t have a blend date like every other vehicle. It would be great if my experience matches yours. We shall see!
  14. That’s the same with me. It wasn’t till later in the day but super exciting to see. I still don’t have a blend date yet but I’m assuming that because my “production week” said Wednesday 29 March that 29 March will also be my blend date assuming no delays. We will see.
  15. Thanks that’s awesome. I was wondering where folks were seeing their modules come to life. I had finally relaxed on waiting for my order and now it’s all I can think about again.
  16. On Monday my dealer called me and said my VIN had been created and I was scheduled for production on 29 March 2023. What was weird was that the ford tracking website said “week of 29 March” on Tuesday morning the status changed to in production. Does this actually mean my truck is being built or is it more that the parts are being prepared for the assembly line and the truck will actually be built a few days from now? I’m just curious what I should expect going forward. I’m not worried about the shipping because I will get those updates and “tracking” from the dealer. I just know there is a lot happening behind the scenes at the plant that they order tracking site does not show. Thank you!
  17. I may be wrong and this was an old issue that was fixed already but I saw a bunch of videos and comments posted recently across forums that issues were found with the cams and lifters delaminating. I hope I’m wrong I chose the engine because it is supposed to be a beast and super reliable. Plus I don’t tow enough to justify the 6.7. Gig ‘em!
  18. Same here! I’m pri 12 7.3 f350 standard lariat with SAP and 4.30 gears. Nothing insane. According to my dealer he had three orders scheduled which then made me third in line based on priority only to get scheduled. This was before the reports of delaminating issues with the 7.3 that I’ve seen on other forums and folks getting their build dates pushed back from February to the end of April. Just plan on continuing to wait and stack that cash to lower the finance payment.
  19. That makes sense. All the info I've gotten has come from the sales manager. I just checked their website and they do not show any 2023 super dutys in inventory.
  20. It came directly from the ford customer service chat. The rep told me that I had a high priority of 12 and that ford works to build in the order they were received and that I should be getting a build date "any day".
  21. blackduty, Thank you for the detail and explanation. It does provide a lot of insight. I guess the only point where I have some confusion is with the allocation. I am ordering from a dealership in Southern Maryland which is not a mega dealer but its not super small either. The Sales Manager said he has not had any orders selected yet for a build date which I find surprising considering Ford builds an average of 25K Super Duty's per month (based on MY 22 figures). Based on what you said above it sounds like large dealerships are almost guaranteed to get a weekly allocation but others may not be so lucky. Is that accurate? Or would it be more accurate to say every dealer should be getting at least one order selected but the large ones will obviously get significantly more? thank you again for your help and insight.
  22. Thank you! Also very fair points. It probably doesnt help that I am ordering using for A/Z Plan. I will send those questions their way and see what they come back with. I really appreciate your feedback.
  23. le engineer, Thank you. I totally understand and that is not a question that I have asked. They gave me a Pri 12 which i feel is pretty good but you are right, without the full picture I have no way of knowing. I will pose that question to them so I can gain some visibility and better manage my expectations.
  24. could not agree more. My salesman is very uninformed and has to run to the sales manager for just about every question which delays responses or results in a game a telephone and even more questions. I wish ford marketing could provide more details than they do but at least its easier to get a faster response. Also surprised that ford cannot give us the ability to search a status prior to receiving a VIN. I think that would significantly reduce the calls and chats they get on a daily basis.
